Official Alternate Ending Trailer : 22 Jump Street (2014)

Official Alternate Ending Trailer : 22 Jump Street (2014)

How lucky are we that after Chris Miller and Phil Lord‘s latest film, The Lego Movie, we only have to wait four months to see their next movie? That movie is 22 Jump Street and, once again, Miller and Lord have their backs to the wall with a sequel to a reboot.

We’ve already seen two versions of the first trailer, a Red Band and Green Band, and now a third version has been released. It’s the green band, with an “alternate ending” but it’s worth watching for the one huge laugh alone.

Ice Cube, Nick Offerman, Peter Stormare and Wyatt Russell star with Tatum and Hill in ’22 Jump Street,’ which also has some small parts for the returning Dave Franco and Rob Riggle. The film opens in theaters on June 13.

Trailer Preview: How To Train Your Dragon 2

Official Trailer: How To Train Your Dragon 2

The 2013 film season closes with a dragon in theaters ("The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," in case you've fallen asleep at the wheel), and next year, the 2014 summer movie season kicks off with a dragon of its own: a comparatively less toothy beast than the snarling Smaug.

"How To Train Your Dragon 2," DreamWorks Animation's anticipated sequel, flies high into theaters in just six months, and there's a brand-new trailer here to prove it. The film, starring the voices of Jay Baruchel and Jonah Hill, among many others, takes place five years after the original, with the Vikings of Berk coexisting peacefully alongside their new dragon allies.

When the trailer begins, we see just how far along Hiccup and his dragon pal Toothless have come — an impressive distance, as Hiccup lost part of his leg at the end of the first "How to Train Your Dragon," but has since rebounded magnificently.

"Life here is amazing," he narrates as the trailer picks up, showing the viewer how dragons have changed life around Berk: they're used as means of transportation, they play games in the sky with their new Viking friends ... it's a happy existence. "Dragons used to be a bit of a problem, but now they've all moved in. With Vikings on the backs of dragons, the world just got a whole lot bigger."

Indeed, the alliance between Viking and dragons means greater potential for exploration. We see that firsthand in the trailer, when Hiccup and Toothless venture far off into the distance, discovering a masked woman who seems to know a lot about dragons — a woman who reveals herself as Hiccup's mom.

Missing since his birth, Hiccup's mother has been gathering dragons in secret for some time, and she warns Hiccup that "something is coming, something you've never faced before."

Whatever that dark "something" is, it has the ability to drive a wedge between Vikings and dragons again, as the two become "enemies again" by the end of the trailer — and it's up to Hiccup and Toothless to put that conflict to rest once and for all.

"How to Train your Dragon 2" hits theaters on June 13, 2014.

Official Trailer: 22 Jump Street

Official Trailer: 22 Jump Street

It’s hard to imagine that production on 22 Jump Street – the sequel to 2012′s surprise comedy hit, 21 Jump Street – only began this past September. Only a couple of months later, we’re already being treated to two trailers for the film in as many days. On Monday, the red band trailer debuted online, laying the groundwork for the latest drug-busting adventure in Morton Schmidt’s (Jonah Hill) and Greg Jenko’s (Channing Tatum) career as undercover cops; yesterday, MGM followed up on that with a green band version of the same clip, seen above.

Expect all of the usual differences between red and green band fare, of course, but for as similar as both teasers are (down to the self-referential meta jokes), the latest promo manages to pull out a few new gags of its own. Want to know what notorious modern celebrity couple Schmidt and Jenko best resemble? Curious to see Hill do his own slapstick version of the infamous octopus scene from Oldboy? You’ll have to watch the bit for yourself to see how these play out, though they’re likely much, much cleaner than what we’ll see in the theatrical cut of the film.

This time out, Jenko and Schmidt have moved on from high school to higher learning, taking their fight against drug runners to the hallowed halls of college. Based on the footage released to date, the change in location doesn’t foster change in behavior or shenanigans; as anyone might expect, college parties are going to be more plentiful and far more outrageous, so our heroes will likely have their hands full trying to crack the case while indulging themselves in some bacchanalian fun.

That’s one area where the new trailer sets itself apart from the red band bit: it introduces the slightest amount of plot into the proceedings, hinting at the ways Jenko’s and Schmidt’s relationship might change throughout 22 Jump Street‘s story. Jenko looks to be just as protective of his best friend as ever, and Schmidt, well, he seems to be at least a little resentful of (or at least exasperated by) Jenko’s nannying ways.

But directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have clearly upped the action and slapstick quotient to compliment the emotional elements of the movie, too, so there’s plenty of reason to be excited for what they’ve got going on here. (Hill, according to both filmmakers, has done a lot more of his own stunt work for the sequel as well, to his chagrin and everyone else’s delight.)

The only bad news is that there’s a bit of a wait to go before 22 Jump Street hits theaters in 2014, but it should be worth all of the anticipation.
