Movie Review: Maleficent (2014)

Movie Review: Maleficent (2014)

Plot:

There have been so many times when Walt Disney has changed the vision with which we see the world. How deeply we rely on it to fill our imaginations with the best chosen characters of the Fantasy Land and God when they add Angelina Jolie to it, we brace ourselves tight!

Maleficent is an old classic tale of sleeping beauty retold/reimagined in the best way. Directed by Robert Stromberg from a screenplay by Linda Woolverton, this movie has woven the epic villianess Maleficent in a dreamy new avatar.

It chases the classic plot of the fairy tale starting not from the Aurora’s christening frenzy but from Maleficent’s childhood, portraying her as a very strong fairy but a friendly one, lovable and playful resident of Moors.

Not afraid of Humans, she befriends a peasant boy and falls in love as they share their teenage years together. Stefan gives her the kiss of true love and leaves soon after to follow her ambition of becoming a King.

Maleficent goes on her with her life guarding the Moors as the most strongest fairy of all. The peace lefts the screen as the King approaches Moors to invade and is defeated badly by the ever-strong guardian fairy.
The king needs revenge and Stefan needs the throne, his dream makes him do the evil and he cuts off her wings and uses them as the key to the door of Royalty.

And then...comes the story we have known our whole life...More or Less!
Lets not spoil the Disney Wonder because what comes after is a hearty treat to those who will watch!
Why? Let me tell you a Story…

Review:

…Once upon a time Disney made a movie on the top most villian of all time, twisted her character and brought her to the light hence creating a hero out of her and gave the world a better version of ‘true love’s kiss’ , I say they pretty much nailed it!

As for the hype that was created for this movie it might have awoken some hope of watching a badass all actioned up Angelina Jolie in a wicked fairy’s attire as a cherry on top, but its not a dream come true for people with a evil hopes as the movie takes a sharp turn to the more feminine and loving side of a fairy who gives it up to the smile of a child she thought she hates. Well, to the viewers who find this movie un-entertaining; there are so many others with more darke and livid wickedness, might try some of ‘em!
This one is to add the fun to the family time.

The changes that are introduced into the movie are really interesting.

Though critics are complaining about the fantasy world of Moors being less colorful than the mainstream Disney productions but if you for once put the hopes of a colorful movie out of mind everything you see on the screen proves to be complimenting on and other!

Angelina Jolie has done a great job confusing Maleficent with the good gone bad gone good again thing! What else are you supposed to do when the kid you just put a curse on mistakes you with her fairy godmother! And specially when the kid’s so...umm cute! She totally put on plate a great performance. After watching this one, do mark the words ‘Maleficent becomes her’.

Now the princess, I am a wee bit disappointed on her expense in the movie. Okay so the princess has to smile a lot and look all cheesy but it becomes all too much to look at after a while and guiltily you wish that she wouldn't wake up giving away that way too cheesy smile again! She does well no doubt but a word that I regret to pen down hovers around my mind about her performance is ‘over’ as in ‘overdoing’ the Aurora part. But I’d love to take it as another princessy thing.

There is yet another member of cast I would like to appreciate(its not the King) that is Diaval, never was a crow so handsome and handy! Presentation of three little fairies as Aurora’s aunts was another hilarious addition. A little detail which would definitely nag the viewers was the myth of ‘the left wish of third fairy’ which they of course altered to aid the plot.

The scenic presentation of the fantasy land of Moors is not much like a fairyland but instead portrays a different kind of creatures inhabiting, closer to giants as you may say. It is acceptable much but it is quite insufficient.

At some points the story did go a bit off the beat but it quickly regains.
Its not the best animated movie you’ll ever see but there definitely is something  in it which is worth a watch!

On the whole this Movie is full of the Magic that is not produced by powers but the pure magic that Love bears.
Plan to watch this one with kids, Its a great one!

The whole thing about the fairy in distress and the innocence of Angelina’s expressions disarms me.
I will rate this one with a hearty
***1/2

Movie Review: The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty (2013)

Movie Review: The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty (2013)

" Let Life In"

Ben Stiller directs and stars in THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY, James Thurber's classic story of a day-dreamer who escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action. When his job along with that of his co-worker (Kristen Wiig) are threatened, Walter takes action in the real world embarking on a global journey that turns into an adventure more extraordinary than anything he could have ever imagined.

Review :

Watching this movie, there was a smile on my face the whole time. I wanted to drop everything off and go out on an adventure just like Mitty did. And that is right. Sometimes you do have to take the leap. There is so much beauty in this world waiting for you to notice it. Just like John Green mentioned in TFIOS:

“The Universe wants to be noticed.”

This is exactly what I felt and understood while watching this film. In a way we are all like Mitty: we imagine so many things, keep daydreaming about how we are going to face every obstacle in our lives with some super hero strength but in reality, we are afraid. We are oh so afraid to do what our heart tells us. But we have to take chances in order to live. I should be reviewing this movie about how perfectly Ben Stiller did his role, how beautiful the landscape was, how the special effects were spot-on. These all things were there and surely played a major role but the message this movie contains is far too important than any of these things, Hence; my totally philosophical rant above.

I just saw this movie and I think it deserved a fricking Oscar. It was that awesome. Nevertheless, this quote from the movie justifies the cruelty of Oscars:

-“Beautiful things don’t ask for attention.”

It will always be a thought-provoking and a really really beautiful movie for me. And those of you who have good taste in movies will definitely love it too.

I’ll rate it with:

Official Trailer : Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)

Official Trailer : Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)

The Michael Bay-produced, live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer has arrived and focuses on their origin along with a little fun.

While we’re not clued in on the plot, we do know that the city of New York is under attack thanks to Shredder and his Foot Clan. “Heroes are not born, they’re created,” says William Fichtner (who plays Shredder) when referring to the inception of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. “That’s what your father and I were trying to do. Create heroes.”

The trailer offers glimpses at Megan Fox who will play April O’Neil and Will Arnett who plays Vernon Fenwick. We also get looks at some of the turtles themselves, including one interaction between April and Michelangelo (voiced by Noel Fisher). Sadly, we don’t get a look at their headquarters or anyone eating pizza. Hopefully the next trailer will offer some looks at those iconic aspects of the series.

The cast is rounded out by Alan Ritchson (Raphael), William Fichtner (The Shredder), Whoopi Goldberg (Bernadette Thompson), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo) and Danny Woodnburn (Splinter).

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released August 8, 2014. Judging by this trailer, it looks to be gritty with a decent mix of turtle humor.

Movie Review : Divergent (2014)

Movie Review : Divergent (2014)

Directed by Neil Burger
Based on Divergent  by Veronica Roth

Cast:

Shailene Woodley  as  Beatrice/ Tris Prior
Theo James  as  Four/Tobias Eaton
Ashley Judd  as  Natalie Prior
Jai Courtney  as  Eric
Ray Stevenson  as  Marcus Eaton
Ansel Elgort  as  Caleb Prior
Zoë Kravitz  as Christina
Miles Teller  as  Peter
Maggie Q  as  Tori
Kate Winslet  as  Jeanine Matthews

Plot:

In a future dystopian Chicago, people are divided into five "factions": Abnegation (selfless), Amity (peaceful), Candor (truthful), Erudite (intelligent) and Dauntless (brave), based on their personalities. Beatrice Prior (Shailene Woodley) is in Abnegation, the faction that looks after the poor and the factionless, as well as running the government; though she has always been fascinated by Dauntless. Her father (Tony Goldwyn) serves on the government along with the head of Abnegation, Marcus Eaton (Ray Stevenson).

Young citizens are tested using a serum to indicate which faction they should choose, but Beatrice is told that she has the attributes of several factions, which means that she is divergent. Since divergent people are considered threats to society because they can think independently and the government can't conform their thinking, Beatrice's test proctor Tori (Maggie Q) warns her that she must keep her true test results a secret. The next day at the choosing ceremony, Beatrice's brother Caleb (Ansel Elgort) chooses Erudite, while Beatrice chooses Dauntless. Right after the ceremony, Beatrice meets Christina (Zoë Kravitz) a Candor who changed to Dauntless. After two Dauntless tests in which Beatrice must jump from a moving train and fall from a building into an unknown deep hole, Beatrice meets her instructors Eric (Jai Courtney), a rather tough member of Dauntless, and Four (Theo James). When Four asks for her name, Beatrice shortens it to "Tris".
Tris initially struggles in Dauntless training, but as it progresses she slowly improves. After being forced to fight with her enemy Peter (Miles Teller) and being hospitalized, Tris almost fails out of Dauntless, but rescues herself after playing a key strategic role in winning a capture-the-flag game.

After the physical stage of Dauntless training, the initiates are put into simulations in order to face their fears. Tris's divergence allows her to excel at these tests, but Four, who strikes up a relationship with Tris, warns her that she must conceal the true reason behind her success and solve the challenges in a more direct way as a Dauntless candidate would.

The next day, Tris visits her brother in Erudite, who explains to her that Erudite is planning to overthrow Abnegation and become the ruling faction. On her return to Dauntless headquarters Tris is attacked due to her success in training, and Peter, Al (Christian Madsen), and Drew attempt to throw her into the chasm, but she is rescued by Four. The next day, Al pleads with Tris and begs for her forgiveness but Tris refuses calling him a "coward," which leads him to commit suicide in the chasm. Tris feels guilty for Al's death but Four later finds her. He tells her it wasn't her fault and it was his choice not hers. In preparation for Tris' final test, Four takes Tris into his fear simulations, his greatest fear is being beaten by his father Marcus Eaton. After the simulation, Four and Tris realize they have feelings for each other and share a kiss. When the day of the test comes, Tris passes, without revealing she is divergent. During the post-test celebration, the Dauntless are then injected with a yellow serum so that as a security precaution they can be tracked.

The next morning, Tris wakes up to realize the injection was actually a serum that Erudite is using to create a mindless army. Divergent people are unaffected, so Tris and Four have to blend in. At Abnegation, Eric figures out that Four is not under the simulation, which leads to both him and Tris being caught and separated. Tris's mother shows up and rescues Tris, but dies in the process. To stop Erudite from killing Abnegation, Tris, her father, brother and Marcus attempt to sneak into Dauntless headquarters. Tris sees that Peter is not under the serum and orders him to take them to where the Erudite set up their operation. Her father sacrifices himself in a shootout. Tris goes in alone and finds Four, whom she is able to pull out of the attack simulation. Jeanine (Kate Winslet), leader of Erudite, is about to start the command that will make the army kill the Abnegation, but Tris stabs Jeanine in the hand with a throwing knife, gives her the serum used to control the army, and orders her to stop and delete the program, which she does. Tris, her brother, Peter, Four and Marcus then flee Dauntless .

Review:

Since I’ve read all three books in the Divergent series, I really wanted to know how well it will play out on the big screen. Shailene Woodley as well as Theo James when casted for the lead in this movie were criticized by the fans but they did their roles pretty well. Now I agree that Theo was the right choice for Four.
He has that silent stage presence that couldn’t have been portrayed by a teenage actor. Shailene gave the perfect innocent yet totally bad ass look on-screen. And her glowing hair made me think of Rapunzel. I admit that there are a few flaws in the movie; Especially, the aptitude test and final simulation.
But other than that, the movie was spot on. The fences encircling Chicago, the Ferris Wheel , the always moving trains and Four’s tattoos *hot* ; everything was just as I imagined them to be. Some scenes were totally exhilarating. Also those who compare it with the Hunger Games Trilogy should just stop. This movie has a completely different story with a completely different motive. I look forward to watching Insurgent and Allegiant come to life soon.

This roller- coaster -ride like movie deserves:

Official Trailer #2 : X-Men: Days of Future Past

Official Trailer #2 : X-Men: Days of Future Past

Since it’s been four months since the last teaser (timed with the overseas debut of Thor: The Dark World) and eight months since last year’s San Diego Comic Book Convention from which most of the teaser footage was pulled from, it stands to reason that this trailer has a lot more spectacular effects and action bits. Those who wanted more than just meaningful glances and mournful music the last time around will get what they want this time. You get the usual somber narration from Patrick Stewart, plus more action bits and just enough of a tease of those Sentinels to get fans excited.

Film is already among the most anticipated of the summer, one can only hope that Fox won’t feel the need to release much more footage than what we’ve already seen. They are already going to decimate Memorial Day weekend (X-Men: The Last Stand made $122 million on said holiday weekend back in 2006), with literally a full month without a similar tent pole to deal with until Paramount’s Transformers: Age of Extinction opens on June 27th.

A film as good as X-Men: First Class combined with the return of fan-favorite actors (Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, etc.) combined with that magic 3D bump certainly has the potential to bring the franchise to new heights. This trailer is certainly good enough to consider the job “done” without any further footage dumps. X-Men: Days of Future Past opens May 23rd, 2014.

Book Review: Allegiant (Divergent #3)

Book Review: Allegiant (Divergent #3)
By Veronica Roth

-“One choice will define you.”

Plot:

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.
But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

Review:

Allegiant was one of my anticipated books of 2013, I really didn't know how Veronica Roth could wrap up the series successfully. Allegiant was panned by fans and many fans felt that this book ruined the entire series for them. Then there's me, one of the few "black sheeps" who actually enjoyed this book and felt that it was extremely necessary that it ended this way.
Allegiant is nearly impossible to describe because there's just so many subplots going on at the same time. At any given moment, there are at least 5 or 6 different storylines that Roth is telling and it's a bit overwhelming at times. This is definitely the most complicated of all of the books in the series and I guess it makes sense, given the fact that Roth needed to somehow conclude the series in a satisfying way.
Finally readers will learn what being "Divergent" really means for Tris and Four. Tris and Four's relationship is definitely tested in this one and there is a lot of bickering between the two. I just wanted them to make up and just resolve their differences; it does make sense that they are constantly on edge due to hectic nature of their lives. When there aren't fighting (which wasn't very often), there were some very sweet moments between the two. The romance in this one is pretty light, but we do get to see more of what's going on in Four's head.
I have to address the way Allegiant ended because it's caused so much controversy Veronica Roth received death threats after fans had read the ending. The ending of Allegiant was such a risky move on Veronica Roth's part; Roth had the guts to pull off something most authors wouldn't even dream of doing. This is why Roth has sold millions of books because she pushes the limits and is always creating ingenious plotlines. Anyway, I felt that this ending felt inevitable, Roth even said that she always felt like she knew it would end like this. After a bit of pondering, it all made sense to me and I felt like Roth had been leading up to this ending ever since Divergent. In fact, if you read Insurgent, there's tons of foreshadowing that hinted that Allegiant would end like this. Allegiant's ending felt necessary to me and I really feel that this is the ONLY ending that truly would have worked. While I didn't love the ending, I felt that Allegiant's conclusion was extremely effective. There's no denying that Veronica Roth is dauntless after reading Allegiant, it takes an extremely brave and daring individual to write an extremely controversial ending without fearing retaliation from fans.

Some Of My Favorite Quotes From Book:

-“I suppose a fire that burns that bright is not meant to last.”

-“I fell in love with him. But I don't just stay with him by default as if there's no one else available to me. I stay with him because I choose to, every day that I wake up, every day that we fight or lie to each other or disappoint each other. I choose him over and over again, and he chooses me.”

-“Change, like healing, takes time.”

-“The first step to loving someone else is to recognize the evil in ourselves, so we can forgive them.”

Though it’s not my favourite book in the series, it still was a heart breaking book, I’ll give it:
***1/2

Book Review : Insurgent (Divergent 2)

Book Review : Insurgent ( Divergent # 2)

By Veronica Roth

-“One choice can destroy you”

Plot:

Insurgent's plot takes off immediately after Divergent's ending. The simulation was over. Beatrice 'Tris' Prior, along with three other refugees, went to the Amity compound for safety. She believed that the reason Erudite destroyed Abnegation was to ensure high political power. However, not everything was as it seemed. After overhearing a conversation between an Abnegation leader and the Amity representative, Tris realized that there was more to the attack against her former faction. There’s something Abnegation was protecting… something worth dying for.
As tension grew among factions, Tris decided she must know about the truth—the main reason Abnegation was obliterated and the startling secret that would change everyone in Chicago forever. But the path towards her goal proved itself to be extremely difficult. Relationships would be put to the test. Unlikely alliances would be made. Conscience, grief, and guilt would constantly haunt her. With both external and internal conflicts to face, this would be her greatest battle yet. Her choices would either transform her… or destroy her.

Review:

Just like the first book, Insurgent is a page-turner. I was immediately drawn to the story. I’m glad to say that the sequel didn’t disappoint!

Tris is one remarkable heroine. With all she endured in Divergent, we see a girl carrying a heart full of guilt, regret and raw pain. She lost so much and she incited loss too, the guilt of Will's death plays heavily on her throughout Insurgent. She goes through one heck of an emotional roller coaster, but through it all, even when she falls to the lowest of lows and especially when she doesn't believe she can go on, she does. She keeps fighting, because she is a survivor. She is still Tris. Even if at times you might not agree with her decisions, you still cheer her on and not for a minute does she allow you to become disengaged in her story.
Revealed are more sides to Tobias and oh, I am in love with this boy. He's not without his frustrations, mystery and secrets, but that is what makes him so captivating. It's his flaws that give him intrigue, mixed with a beautiful kindness and exhilarating, sometimes scary side. Four.... Tobias... he is a thrilling specimen. Sometimes I wish Tris was more expressive with him, because you could see in certain moments the pain and sadness he was holding back, but it made for the kind of emotional angst that is torturously delightful. Tobias goes through his own emotional turbulence in the sequel, some of which puts him in a position where he and Tris struggle to stay on the same page, but each has their own reasons, each fueled by the right motivations, and while it's painstakingly messy sometimes, both Tobias and Tris shine as individuals.
It has everything I could ask for—action, likable and relatable characters, stunning twists, thought-provoking situations, and scenes that invoke emotions. Furthermore, the second installment in the Divergent trilogy didn’t suffer “second book syndrome”. It didn’t feel dragged. The plot was as action-packed, emotional, and suspenseful as it could get. Insurgent is as good as the first, even better in my experience. Be warned though, that the book ends with a cliffhanger.

Some Great Quotes From Book :

-“People, I have discovered, are layers and layers of secrets. You believe you know them, that you understand them, but their motives are always hidden from you, buried in their own hearts. You will never know them, but sometimes you decide to trust them.”

-“Like a wild animal, the truth is too powerful to remain caged.”

-“Cruelty does not make a person dishonest, the same way bravery does not make a person kind.”

Final Verdict:

"To wrap up this review, Insurgent is a must-read for big fans of the Divergent trilogy. Not only did it avoid becoming a filler book, but it also did a good job in adding more depth to the story."

I rate this exhilarating book with:

The over confident character of Varun Dhawan dances along with the ladies, Ileana D’Cruz and Nargis Fakhri as they dance along not in a way to show the other down and win the heart of Varun Dhawan but everybody gets along well.

A few times of listening to the song and it grows on you for a typical Punjabi wedding celebration song in the classic David Dhawan directed Govinda style.

Official Trailer # 3: Game Of Thrones (The World Fallen Apart)

Official Trailer # 3: Game Of Thrones

(The World Fallen Apart)

“What good is power if you can’t protect the ones you love?” Cersei laments in the opening moments of the latest promo for Game of Thrones‘ upcoming fourth season. (And somewhere, Daenerys thinks to herself, “Well, it helped me get this badass army, so it can’t be that bad…”).

Also not bad: all the new footage in this trailer, which aired on HBO Sunday before True Detective‘s season finale. We’ve got Tywin on the throne, Sansa grieving for her family, Daenerys showing no mercy, Littlefinger being creepy (what else is new?) and Jon Snow questioning exactly how everything went to hell so quickly. And if that doesn’t melt your Wall, we can sum up another selling point in a single word: dragon!!!

Book Review: Divergent By Veronica Roth

Book Review: Divergent By Veronica Roth

Plot/Summary:

Beatrice Prior resides in a dystopian Chicago where society is divided into five different factions. These factions were created to grow specific virtues and to bring harmony to the world— Candor, Dauntless, Amity, Erudite, and Abnegation. On a designated day once a year each and every sixteen year old among the factions must make a choice, a choice that transforms their future. On this day each one is to decide the faction they will be devoted to for the rest of their lives. The choice for Beatrice is to live her life with her family, or be who she really is— there is no way she can have both. The decision she makes is one that surprises everyone— including herself.
After the decisions have been made the new initiates all go through their chosen factions’ initiation. Beatrice, now called Tris , struggles with the other initiates in order to live out the choice they have made. The initiates undergo tests that challenge them in every way—physically, mentally, and emotionally—some having dire consequences. Initiation is a transforming time and during it Tris has to determine who her true friends are and how a new relationship with a fascinating, sometimes overwhelming boy all fit into her new life. Through all of this Tris has been holding back information, about herself, that she has been warned not to share or it could lead to her death. She soon discovers conflict and unrest that threatens to destroy the seemingly perfect society she once knew, she even comes to discover that her secret may be the one thing that can save them all—or it could be the one thing that destroys her.

Book Review:

Divergent was a fun, addicting, action-packed read that hooked me from page one. Its unique and imaginative concept is thickly layered without ever becoming difficult to follow. It wasn't at all plausible, but it also never became over-the-top or silly. It was a perfectly formulated source of enjoyment and a captivating read!
I can't touch on plot details because there is too much mystery to potentially spoil, but I will say that the story revolves around an alternate world that has been divided into factions representing five honorable human traits. The people who inhabit these factions follow rules and stick to their "group". But even a carefully constructed society contains individuals hungry for more power; those who will go to any extent to obtain it.
I loved the deeper meaning generated throughout this story: how these human virtues are singled out and thoroughly defined. We see the good and bad of each, as well as the consequential aftermath. We are shown the impact and power of these values combined. Although this book represents a dystopian world, there are universal truths to be found within its pages.

-“We believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another.”

The characters were perfection. Our Heroine, Tris (Beatrice) is strong, independent, and quick to adapt. She endures an honest struggle to define herself and her worth.

Four displays honorable traits and was incredibly easy to love. He's a gentle hero, with a fierce determination. I enjoyed the slow build-up to his relationship with Tris, and the fact the he wasn't quick to fawn all over her—yet the way he defended her honor was admirable. Their romance was youthful, and sweet—very realistic for their tender age.

The fans of “The Hunger Games” and other such dystopian novels are going to love this book. It has less violence as compared to THG but a strong and completely different storyline. Another thing! Thank God there isn’t any clichéd love triangle in this book. Our Four-Tris ship is gonna sail without any icebergs for quite a long time.

My Favorite Quotes From Book:

-“Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.” -Four

-“Then I realize what it is. It's him. Something about him makes me feel like I am about to fall. Or turn to liquid. Or burst into flames.”-Tris

-“Fear doesn't shut you down; it wakes you up”-Four

-“Politeness is deception in pretty packaging.”

I recommend this bad-ass and gripping book to all of you and rate it:

Official Trailer : Game Of Thrones - Vengeance (TV Series)

With just a little over seven weeks until its fourth season debuts on Sky Atlantic, the countdown to the highly anticipated return of Game of Thrones continues.

Last night, US cable network HBO released a new trailer during an episode of True Detective, and as you might expect, it’s packed full of never seen before footage.

Just about everything we see in it leaves us with plenty to think about, while diehard fans of the popular novels continue to ponder what exactly will be included in the season which is based mostly on the second half of George R.R. Martin’s  A Storm of Swords.

“Vengeance” is the title of this new trailer, and it quickly becomes apparent that that will be a prevailing theme during season four.

Throughout the course of the series, we’ve seen young Arya Stark add more and more names to the list of those she wants dead, and included now are “The Red Woman” (Melisandre) and Tywin Lannister.

The Hound is clearly sceptical about her desire for revenge, and how their relationship plays out this season should prove to be very interesting indeed, as will seeing whether or not the youngster is able to cross any more names off that list.

Official Trailer : Joe (2014)

Official Trailer : Joe (2014)

The first trailer has arrived online for Joe, in which Nicolas Cage plays a periodically violent man who strikes up a friendship with Tye Sheridan's abused teen.

A troubled ex-con, Cage's character is attempting to keep his head down and stay out of trouble, but he finds his resolve being tested to the limit by his young friend's brutish father.

However, if that sounds like the platform for Cage to go off on one of his eye-popping, mouth-foaming rampages, think again, as this looks to be one of his finest performances to date.

Exclusive Song: Asalaam-E-Ishqum (Gunday)

Exclusive Song: Asalaam-E-Ishqum (Gunday)

Watch Priyanka Chopra as the ravishing diva… the electrifying danseuse… Calcutta’s darling…the most beautiful cabaret dancer, Nandita! She takes your breath away with a salute to love – presenting ‘Asalaam-e-Ishqum’ sung by Bappi Lahiri and Neha Bhasin from Yash Raj Films’ GUNDAY.

Talking about the track composer Sohail Sen told us, “‘Asalaam-E-Ishqum’ was a tough one to crack as Ali wanted a cabaret number for Gunday that had to have the feel of 70s cabaret yet it should sound contemporary. So thats how we got Bappi da onboard and incorporated his nuances to the song.”

Take the front seats… the screen will scorch… the mercury will rise… a word of advice – you’ll blink, you’ll swoon! Don’t say we didn’t warn you…

Exclusive Trailer : The Raid 2- Berandal (2014)

Exclusive Trailer : The Raid 2- Berandal (2014)

Director Gareth Evans' "The Raid 2" doesn't hit theaters for a few months yet, but the Indonesian martial arts epic has already enjoyed an early premiere at the Sundance Film Festival — and based on early reviews, the film's theatrical release cannot come soon enough.

Critics are raving following Tuesday's premiere of Evans' "Raid" sequel, which follows Iko Uwais' Rama out of the tenement building and onto the mean streets of Jakarta. By and large, reviewers agree that "The Raid 2" improves on the first film in significant ways, with some going so far as to call it the "Dark Knight" of action movies. High praise, to be sure.

"'The Raid 2' is remarkable filmcraft, first and foremost, and it tells a solid, compelling cop story in a way that left me physically shaking. I cannot wait to see it again, and I am genuinely concerned that the MPAA is going to savage the version we saw because of the profound level of graphic violence it contains. It is a savage world that Evans portrays, though, and any attempt to tone that down will, oddly, make it more conventional and make the violence more generic.

Latest Trailer: 300-Rise of an Empire (2014)

Latest Trailer: 300-Rise of an Empire (2014)

Many critics derided the first "300" as an aesthetically stunning but ultimately empty big-screen spectacle - and from the looks of its latest trailer, "300: Rise of an Empire" appears to be more of the same.

War is rendered as stunning cinematic art in the third official preview for the forthcoming follow-up, which centers on the rise of the God King Xerxes (a returning Rodrigo Santoro) and his role in the Persian invasion of the Greek city-states in 480 BC. Also along for the ride is the ruthlessly ambitious Artemisia I (Eva Green), a human quote machine who clearly delights in such turns of phrase as "The ecstasy of steel and flesh...sweat and muscle... rage...war" as she helps lead Xerxes and his army in the storied Battle of Artemisium.

Directed by Noam Murro ("Smart People"), "300: Rise of an Empire" also stars Sullivan Stapleton, Lena Headey (back as Spartan Queen Gorgo), Hans Matheson and David Wenham. The film hits theaters on March 7.

Box Office: Ride Along (Trailer Included)

New Release: Ride Along

Universal’s opening of “Ride Along” is heading for a decisive victory at this weekend’s U.S. box office, expected to take in between $35 and $38 million over the four days of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.

The comedy, starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, was heading for a Friday gross between $11 million and $14 million based on forecasts from early shows, including the $1.05 million from late-night screenings on Thursday.

Thursday night’s late-night screenings for Universal Pictures’ action comedy Ride Along, which marks the first comedic lead for stand-up performer Kevin Hart, grossed $1M. That beats the opening night of Universal’s The Best Man Holiday, which opened to $689,000 on previews (1,402 runs) on November 14 on its way to a $30.1M three-day gross; Best Man Holiday cumed out at $70.5M.

Universal is also making comparisons to Pain & Gain, which starred Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson and opened on April 25, 2013 for a preview gross of $750,000 and a $20M three-day weekend (odd comparison). Hart, who stars with Ice Cube, previously more than held his own in Grudge Match and in This Is The End, but it will be Ride Along that he’ll be able to call his own (beyond his concert films).

The pic opens with 2,262 runs. This is another holiday weekend with Martin Luther King Day on Monday, so we will have three-day and four-day box office.

Uday Chopra as Ali
Katrina Kaif as Aaliya
Jackie Sharoff as Iqbal Khan

Director : Vijay Krishna Acharya

Screenplay : Vijay Krishna Acharya
Story : Vijay Krishna Acharya & Aditya Chopra
Music : Pritam

Expectations:

Dhoom 3 is the most awaited movie of 2013 and people has alot of expectations from it. Dhoom is a brand that is known for action and bikes and villians are more powerful than hero in this franchise. So as in Dhoom 3 the promotion was so less that only a single trailer and Dhoom Machale (title track) was on air else apart it was a full surprise for the viewers. It has Mr. Perfectionist in it Aamir Khan as the Bad Man and its the Return of Mr.Khan on Dec which was his date his three big hits were released on christmas,Taare Zameen Par,Ghajini,3 Idiots and Ghajini started the 100crore mark in the industry same as the 3 idiots showed that 200crores are also not impossible. Dhoom 3 means 300crore? is it cause YRF is the biggest brand of bollywood as well as it is the widest release across India so the stakes are all high and people had already booked their tickets. Here my Review for the Biggest Movie of 2013 Dhoom 3 for you Mates!

Preview:

Firstly the Preview Mr.Iqbal (Jackie Sharoff) runs a circus called the Great Indian Circus in Chicago and he owes bank and cannot pay them back so bank took his circus property and he cannot bear this pain that he shoot himself infront of his son Sahir (child Aamir khan) and later the child has grown big as Aamir Khan and takes revenge against the bank. For catching him the bank hires India's top cop duo ACP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) & Ali (Uday Chopra).Meanwhile Sahir has also worked for the restart of the Great Indian Circus and he find a dancer as Aaliya (Katrina Kaif). So what do you think can Sahir destory the bank and take his revenge or ACP Jai Dixit will catch him? For all that buy your tickets and go to cinema.

Review:

Writing Review for this movie maybe not a good thing cause the suspense thing will be over which came in the post interval. The Movie starts with Aamir's Childhood and Baba Jackie Showing tricks to the Bank Guys to convince them not to shut their Circus down. But they do and Jackie Shoots himself. Then You see Sahir was dreaming all this and then money starts raining.. and Sahir is running down from the building as seen in the trailer. Its his entry and the first chase sequence of the movie which is very well picturized i mean i have never seen this type of action scenes in a bollywood movie and i bet you also havent seen in a bollywood movie like this. Then Chase ends and Dhoom Tap starts after that it shows the entry of Ali & Jai fighting in Tamil Movie Style against the goons in Mumbai and beat the hell of those guys.

Then Sahir Met Aaliya at the audition for his circus. Kamli song is so well choreographed and Katrina has put her heart out in the songs in this movie. They are hired to catch Mr. Clown Thief Sahir and they get so close to catch him that even Jai Shoots Sahir on Shoulder during the 2nd Chase but he escapes from their two. After that the big Malang song which cost Indian Rupees 50,000,000 and yes its too good to watch on big screen Aamir and Katrina are a cute pair but Now good enough to see them romancing. Movie has a smooch between Sahir and Aaliya a small one which is less effective actually i found it same as Jab tak hai Jaan. Cant disclose any more story cause then the flavor of the movie will come to an end.

Can tell you that you will be shocked at the intermission scene but movie dips in the second half badly, all the disneyland thing was not good but the song Tu hi Junoon was well picturized and Again the chemistry between the thief and Ms.Acrobat looks cute but not extraordinary. Then the final chase is the something good and the climax if you can guess what is the Dhoom Climax Mates. ACP Jai Dixit has never caught the thief but can he this time?? Alot to tell but i cant, so buy you tickets and watch it by yourself. Its something you have never seen in bollywood.

Plus Points Of the Movie : Aamir Khan for sure and Action Sequence and the Choreography.

Weak Points : The story dips after the interval until the last chase. So i was a bit bored for 30mins!

Performance Wise:

Acting wise all were good Uday Chopra (i hate you) he was the worst. Katrina was no where apart the songs. Why was she there in the end? cause there was no need of her there! Abhishek Bachchan he was better than Dhoom 2 for sure but missed her wife ,(Rimi Sen) LOLZ, he acted Ok there, Then its the one who has created this Dhoom Mr.Perfectionist Aamir Khan,he is unmatchable and has beaten John & Hrithik by a long margin. Actually he isn't stealing anything but just taking Revenge so unlike the last 2 Dhoom shows that they are robbers but this one shows why is he robbing the banks? and he isn't a robber actually. A bit confusing ? Aamir will clear all your confusion just go and watch him on the big screen. He worked so hard on his dancing skills that shows how good he is

Direction : VKA (Vijay Krishan Acharaya) sorry if i spell it wrong but Just like Tashan the 2nd hours dips and he made this Dhoom a more Drama Than Action Flick but he shows his class Brilliantly and hope he just make a bit more tight gripping direction that will make people attract more cause the hype and expectations were so much from this movie.

Music:

Music: Audio are just OK, But Watch Them and you will love Every Single song even its the first time i got up After Watching the Last Song Dhoom Machale On End Credits. My Picks, Kamli, Malang, Tu Hi Junoon & Dhoom Machale. I Loved The Visuals

"Its a must watch Movie,Atleast One time to see bollywood progressing big time! "

I would have rated 5 out of 5 but the 2nd half was a let down so i will rate it :
