Exclusive Trailer: The Fault In Our Stars

Exclusive (Heart-Touching) Trailer: The Fault In Our Stars

John Green's novel "The Fault in Our Stars" was a huge bestseller, so it's no surprise that a film adaptation is coming to movie screens. The film is scheduled for a June release; its first official trailer was posted online today.

In the book, Hazel meets Gus in a cancer support group for teens. The film stars Shailene Woodley as Hazel and Ansel Elgort as Gus, with Laura Dern and Willem Dafoe. As the trailer begins, Hazel says, "I believe we have a choice in this world about how to tell sad stories." And the clips that follow show how "The Fault in Our Stars" will be told on film.

Anyone who follows Green's tumblr has been seeing news of the film as it's gone through development and production. But as he writes, this is "The full #tfios trailer in beautiful high definition!"

Exclusive Teaser: The Rover (2014)

Exclusive Teaser: The Rover (2014)

Sparkly vampires be gone—the first look at Robert Pattinson's The Rover trailer is finally here!
The teaser trailer for the 27-year-old heartthrob's upcoming flick was released today, and it's safe to say the Twilight star has fully shed his former onscreen persona as the immortal Edward Cullen.

Filmed in the Australian outback, R.Pattz gets down and dirty in the David Michôd-directed drama—a futuristic crime thriller which also stars Guy Pearce and Scoot McNairy.

In the film, Pattinson plays Reynolds, a junior member of a criminal gang, who teams up with Eric (Pearce) to track down the criminals after he is left abandoned and injured when the mob steals Eric's car.

We should also note that there are shots of both Pattinson and Pearce shirtless, ensuring there still may be some eye candy in the gritty drama.

The Rover is Michôd's follow up to his 2010 film Animal Kingdom. Kristen Stewart's former man was last seen in the David Cronenberg-directed film Cosmopolis, and he recently completed filming Map to the Stars opposite Julianne Moore and also directed by Cronenberg.

Exclusive Song: Asalaam-E-Ishqum (Gunday)

Exclusive Song: Asalaam-E-Ishqum (Gunday)

Watch Priyanka Chopra as the ravishing diva… the electrifying danseuse… Calcutta’s darling…the most beautiful cabaret dancer, Nandita! She takes your breath away with a salute to love – presenting ‘Asalaam-e-Ishqum’ sung by Bappi Lahiri and Neha Bhasin from Yash Raj Films’ GUNDAY.

Talking about the track composer Sohail Sen told us, “‘Asalaam-E-Ishqum’ was a tough one to crack as Ali wanted a cabaret number for Gunday that had to have the feel of 70s cabaret yet it should sound contemporary. So thats how we got Bappi da onboard and incorporated his nuances to the song.”

Take the front seats… the screen will scorch… the mercury will rise… a word of advice – you’ll blink, you’ll swoon! Don’t say we didn’t warn you…

Exclusive Song: Tumse Pyaar Ho Gaya (Shaadi ke Side Effects)

Time and again Farhan Akhtar has caught the fancy of many fans interested in poetry with lyrical lines on the social networking sites. However, in his upcoming film, Shaadi Ke Side/Effects the actor-director-producer plays a struggling musician Sid who takes up the job of a jingle writer-composer to pay his bills.

However, since Farhan loves music and his guitar, the role was special to Farhan and thus he gave a spin to the featured jingles.

Director Saket Chaudhary and the brand team of Skore condoms, an in-film sponsor in Shaadi Ke Side/Effects whose jingle Farhan’s character in the film was supposed to sing in the film, were in for a pleasant surprise when Farhan added his own lines to the jingle. He included the line – ‘I love my mother-in-law!’ referring to Rati Agnihotri who plays Vidya’s mother in the film.

Exclusive Trailer: The Spoils Of Babylon (Mini-Series)

Exclusive Trailer: The Spoils Of Babylon (Mini-Series)

Feeling a bit like a “Saturday Night Live” sketch stretched and inflated, “Spoils of Babylon” is still a pretty entertaining spoof, provided that much of the audience (and perhaps especially, the targeted younger crowd) has any idea what it’s spoofing. A product of the Funny or Die factory, this half-hour series is ostensibly a presentation of a lost ’70s miniseries based on a bloated novel, with Will Ferrell buried under Grizzly Adams makeup as the pompous James Lipton-like auteur, setting up each week’s installment. Boasting surprisingly big names, in this case, to the silly goes the “Spoils.”

IFC often seems to be getting by with programming on the cheap, but this effort rather niftily skates past that issue, since looking like a high-school production is ostensibly part of “Spoils of Babylon’s” charm. At the same time,  there’s something amusingly ironic about attracting talent like Maguire, Jessica Alba and Michael Sheen, whose agents otherwise wouldn’t let them be caught dead in these cut-rate environs.

The casting should be a modest draw, though again, the nature of the exercise feels better suited to Web shorts than even half-hour episodes. That said, the show is fitfully funny, and while perhaps unworthy of Jonrosh’s full daylong opus, as ways of idly killing time go, hey, it beats dying.

New Trailer: Main Tera Hero (2014)

New Trailer: Main Tera Hero (2014)

So the trailer of much awaited Main Tera Hero is out and we must say, we are impressed. The promo is colourful, has some crazy dialogues, is packed with dhamaakedaar action and has Varun Dhawan who instantly reminded us of Govinda.

Too much taareef? Well, it’s true that the Nargis Fakhri, Illeana D’Cruz and Varun starrer Main Tera Hero looks promising – at least the promo – but it took us back to the ’90s…the David Dhawan times. Remember those bizarrely colourful sets, sharp and witty one-liners accompanied with typical bike and jeep action? Yes, that’s the picture that came to our minds when we saw this trailer, where Varun is trying his best to over act.

What remains to be seen now is, whether the Student of The Year star has it in him to pull off a movie solely on his shoulders. Will he be able to carry of the Govinda image with finesse? Or will it just become another over-hyped, much too crassly for the classy’s taste venture?

Exclusive Trailer : The Raid 2- Berandal (2014)

Exclusive Trailer : The Raid 2- Berandal (2014)

Director Gareth Evans' "The Raid 2" doesn't hit theaters for a few months yet, but the Indonesian martial arts epic has already enjoyed an early premiere at the Sundance Film Festival — and based on early reviews, the film's theatrical release cannot come soon enough.

Critics are raving following Tuesday's premiere of Evans' "Raid" sequel, which follows Iko Uwais' Rama out of the tenement building and onto the mean streets of Jakarta. By and large, reviewers agree that "The Raid 2" improves on the first film in significant ways, with some going so far as to call it the "Dark Knight" of action movies. High praise, to be sure.

"'The Raid 2' is remarkable filmcraft, first and foremost, and it tells a solid, compelling cop story in a way that left me physically shaking. I cannot wait to see it again, and I am genuinely concerned that the MPAA is going to savage the version we saw because of the profound level of graphic violence it contains. It is a savage world that Evans portrays, though, and any attempt to tone that down will, oddly, make it more conventional and make the violence more generic.

Movie Review: Rush (2013)

Movie Review: Rush (2013)

CAST:

Chris Hemsworth ... James Hunt
Daniel Brühl ... Niki Lauda
Olivia Wilde ... Suzy Miller
Alexandra Maria Lara ... Marlene Lauda

Directed By    ...    Ron Howard

Plot:

The thriller tells us all we need to know about the real-life champion Formula 1 rivals in the early 1970s.
It’s a story of an extraordinary rivalry between James Hunt and Nikki Lauda.
James Hunt and Niki Lauda are two highly skilled race car drivers who first develop a fierce rivalry in 1970 at a Formula Three race at the Crystal Palace circuit in England, when both their cars spin out and Hunt eventually wins the race. Hunt is a brash young Englishman with a tendency to vomit before every race, while the Austrian Lauda is a cool, calculating technical genius who relies on precision. After a falling out with his father, Lauda takes a large bank loan and buys his way into the BRM Formula One team, meeting teammate Clay Regazzoni for the first time. Meanwhile, Hesketh Racing, the fledgling racing team Hunt drives for, enters Formula One as well. Lauda then joins Scuderia Ferrari with Regazzoni and wins his first championship in 1975. Hesketh closes shop after failing to secure a sponsor, but Hunt manages to land a driving position in McLaren after Emerson Fittipaldi leaves the team. During this time, Hunt marries supermodel Suzy Miller, while Lauda develops a relationship with socialite Marlene Knaus.

Nikki dominates the competition until German Grand prix where he suffers a fierce accident due to rough weather and while he’s on bed Hunt continues to make his place again. influenced by this Nikki pushes himself very far by taking intense treatments and returns back to the track much sooner than expected. With all these events happening Hunt develops a sense of respect for his opponent. Nikki beats Hunt in his first race after recovery and starts gaining back his position.
The 1976 season comes to a climax at the rain-soaked Japanese Grand Prix. Hunt's late rally in Lauda's absence has pulled him within three points of Lauda. At the end of the second lap, Lauda returns to the pits and retires from the race, opting to stay with Marlene instead of risking his life again on the track. Hunt now needs to finish third or better to win the championship. After facing stiff competition under grueling conditions and overcoming tire problems and injuring his hand due to the gear shifter knob breaking, Hunt finishes third, giving him enough points to beat Lauda by one point and win the championship. He spends the rest of the year with fame, sex, and drugs, while Lauda takes an interest in flying private planes. At a private airfield in Bologna, Lauda suggests Hunt to focus on the next racing season, but later on realizes that Hunt no longer has anything to prove. Hunt continues to race until his retirement in 1979, and becomes a motorsport broadcast commentator until his death in 1993 at the age of 45.

Review:

A wise man gets more use from his enemies than a fool from his friends.
Rush proves to be ridiculously good thriller. The spice that story has inherited from reality gets the beauty of outstanding performance and becomes Perfect!
If you already know the story this movie doesn’t fail to impress.
Movie as a whole package is very nicely served with adult drama and all that fantastic real life twists which come along with fame.
As soon as the screen comes to life you start understanding the characters and their role. The cool calculating Nikki Lauda actually dominated the hot headed James Hunt even in the film. Both their wives  have also done true justice to the film and added more to it’s glamor.
If we judge the movie more critically or for the audience not much into sports, first few scenes may seem unbearable or induce boredom but right after the movie reveals true drama of sport celebs it gets more and more interesting!
Another tricky beauty of the movie is that it’s too hard to side with one character. Hunt’s fierce moves v/s Lauda’s hard-headedness, and the choice is not an easy one.
However perfect impersonation of Nikki Lauda and that fabulous accent puts Daniel Brühl much farther according to performance than Chris Hemsworth as James Hunt.
Overall this Movie is worth watching once and watching again!

“People always think of us as rivals but he was among the very few I liked and even fewer that I respected. He remains the only person I envied”  - Nikki Lauda

Performance Ratings:

Nikki Lauda:
Daniel Brühl.
He has been true perfection and a treat to ears with that accent. After watching this one Lauda will stick to mind for a long time.
*****

James Hunt:
Chris Hemsworth.
Although he has done very well but is shadowed heavily by his on-screen opponent.
***½

Marlene Lauda:
Alexandra Maria Lara.
A pretty socialite with smart mind. She has done pretty well and her chemistry with Lauda is one to watch.
****

I dont know how did the Oscar Jury missed this Flick.
So my Rating For this Exciting Thriller Is:
****

Movie Review: Upside Down

Movie Review: Upside Down

Plot:

French-Canadian romantic science fiction film written and directed by Juan Diego Solanas, starring Jim Sturgess and Kirsten Dunst.
To watch this film, these things must be understood :
Hero Adam lives in a two-planet home world, unique from other planets or planetary systems as it is the only one that has "dual gravity". This phenomenon of dual gravity allows the two planets to orbit each other in what would otherwise be impossibly close proximity. There are three immutable laws of gravity for this two-planet system:

1. All matter is pulled by the gravity of the world that it comes from, and not the other.

2. An object's weight can be offset using matter from the opposite world (inverse matter).

3. After a few hours of contact, matter in contact with inverse matter burns.

The societies of the two worlds are segregated by law. While the upper world (Up Above) is rich and prosperous, the lower (Down Below) is poor. Up Above buys cheap oil from Down Below and sells electricity back to Down Below at higher prices. A person from Down Below going Up Above (or having contact with anyone from Up Above) is strictly forbidden and can be punishable by incarceration or death. People from Up Above regularly visit Down Below to experience novelties like dancing on ceilings. The only physical connection linking the two worlds is the headquarters of the "TransWorld" company.
This movie is a lovestory with gravitational twist. Adam lives in the Down Below which is relatively poor and fells in love with Eden from the Up Above.

They meet on the mountains and Adam uses a rope to pull Eden towards Down, and they head to the woods for a stroll. They are later discovered, and while Adam frantically releases Eden back to her world, he catches a bullet in his arm and drops her. Helpless, he watches Eden lying motionless on the ground as blood oozes from her head. When he returns home, his aunt Becky is arrested and her home is put to the torch.
After ten years we see Adam working on a beauty cream when he sees Eden on a television show whom he assumed dead for so long. After watching her alive and working in transworld he makes an attempt to go Up Above by getting a job in Trans World.
With the help of Bob, Adam meets Eden by putting Up-material in his clothes to disguise himself as a worker from Up, using Bob's name as his own. But Eden doesn't recognize him because of amnesia from the accident as a teen. The Up-material in Adam's clothes starts to burn so he has to return to Down. Later on, Bob is fired but as he leaves, he secretly gives Adam his ID to help him exit the TransWorld building and into Up. Later, by calling Eden through Bob's phone, Adam manages to get a date.
Meanwhile, his cosmetic cream becomes of great importance to the company. While Adam is doing a presentation of the cream, Eden enters the lecture hall and discovers his true identity. After she flees the auditorium Adam runs to find her but Bob's ID, having been terminated, lands him in trouble. He escapes to Bob's house. He shows him that mixing liquids from both gravity fields can make a hybrid solution that resists both gravitational fields and simply floats between the two. Adam then reveals that he didn't give TransWorld the main secret ingredient of his compound, leaving the company unable to manufacture the product without him.
With Bob's help, he goes back to the restaurant where he met with Eden before and finds out she has begun to recover old memories of him. But the police arrive and he has to run. Upon returning to his planet he goes to the mountain top where he met Eden. Eden comes to find him and they meet again as they did long ago. But police are on their trail and, as they fail to escape, Eden is arrested while Adam falls the remaining distance between worlds. But he survives because of a vest containing inverse matter which he still had strapped to his torso. TransWorld agrees to drop the charges against Eden if Adam gives them his formula and never contacts Eden again.

Now Adam has gone back to his old life, believing he will never see Eden again. But Eden, not so easily dissuaded, goes to Bob for help. Bob finds Adam and surprises him by showing he can stay Down without the help of the opposite-matter accoutrements; Bob has been able to use Adam's methods to create a way to negate the effect of gravity. Bob tells him he had purchased the patent of his beauty cream before TransWorld attempted to do so. He finishes by informing him that Adam also has a "date" with someone.
The film ends with Eden revealing she has become pregnant with twins. Adam tells of their act and how it has changed their societies forever, the two worlds now in permanent physical contact and equalized in wealth and status as well.

Review:

This Lovestory with a gravitational twist is a little hard to digest with all that physics involved. However it’s a creative move and the special effects are outstanding.
Cast is good but performance wise this movie is a let down.
"In spite of its wonderfully unusual premise and talented cast, Upside Down fails to offer much in the way of compelling drama to anchor its admittedly dazzling visuals."
The whole concept of dual gravity is brilliant and so much could be done to enhance its attraction but blending it into a romance that dull was just like wasting the bright idea.
This movie is an eye-candy if regarded to its visuals but story wise it fails every criteria.

Performance Ratings:

Adam:
Jim Sturgess.
What a mess. He looked more like a puppy in need of shelter than a man who owns a formula of a golden fate.
More to your disgrace he wore the Worst Hair-style ever!
**½

Eden:
Kristen Dunst.
Even though she has done well but there is always some unknown nagging thing about her that you never like.
Not at her best here.
***

Bob:
Timothy Spall.
Best as ever.
One can never say negative about his performance.
****

Latest Trailer: 300-Rise of an Empire (2014)

Latest Trailer: 300-Rise of an Empire (2014)

Many critics derided the first "300" as an aesthetically stunning but ultimately empty big-screen spectacle - and from the looks of its latest trailer, "300: Rise of an Empire" appears to be more of the same.

War is rendered as stunning cinematic art in the third official preview for the forthcoming follow-up, which centers on the rise of the God King Xerxes (a returning Rodrigo Santoro) and his role in the Persian invasion of the Greek city-states in 480 BC. Also along for the ride is the ruthlessly ambitious Artemisia I (Eva Green), a human quote machine who clearly delights in such turns of phrase as "The ecstasy of steel and flesh...sweat and muscle... rage...war" as she helps lead Xerxes and his army in the storied Battle of Artemisium.

Directed by Noam Murro ("Smart People"), "300: Rise of an Empire" also stars Sullivan Stapleton, Lena Headey (back as Spartan Queen Gorgo), Hans Matheson and David Wenham. The film hits theaters on March 7.

“I know we’ll never get things back to the way they use to be,” Rick (Andrew Lincoln) declares in the mid-season promo. “It’s not going to be easy. But we’re not too far gone. We’re survivors.”

We’re going to hold you to that, Rick.

Movie Review: The Conjuring

Movie Review: The Conjuring (2013)

“There is something horrible happening in the house.”

Plot:

An American Supernatural horror set to blow minds! Conjuring is based on true events which have happened with paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Movie starts with horror of a possessed doll ‘Annabelle’ followed by a lecture of the Warrens discussing about paranormal entities.
The Perron family has just shifted to a farmhouse in Rhode Island with their five daughters and a dog. As they try to to settle in and get used to the big house, certain unusual and disturbing things tend to happen. Carolyn (the wife) wakes up with a mysterious bruise and finds Sadie lying dead outside the house. Various instances of paranormal disturbance also occur. The activity culminates one night while Roger is away in Florida. After hearing various clapping and giggling noises, and seeing the picture frames shattered on the stairs, Carolyn is locked up in the cellar. Later Cindy, one of the daughters, is awakened after sleepwalking into her sister Andrea's room—she sees a spirit on top of a wardrobe in the room that attacks Andrea.
While researching the history of the house, Ed and Lorraine discover that the house once belonged to an accused witch, Bathsheba, who tried to sacrifice her children to the devil and killed herself in 1863 after cursing all who would take her land. The property was once 200+ acres but has since been divided up into smaller parcels. They find reports of numerous murders and suicides in houses that have since been built upon parcels that were once part of the property.

Ed and Lorraine return to the house to gather evidence to receive authorization for the exorcism. Cindy again sleepwalks into Andrea's room and reveals a secret passage behind the wardrobe. Lorraine enters the passage and falls through the floorboards into the cellar, where she sees the spirit of a woman whom Bathsheba had long ago possessed and used to kill her child. Another of the Perron children, Nancy, is violently dragged by her hair along the floor by an unseen force.
Lorraine is threatened by the spirit to leave this investigation by an attack on her daughter in their house with a possessed doll Annabelle.
Perron family decides to take shelter in a hotel. At night Carolyn takes her two daughters back to the house. Meanwhile Lorraine discovers that Bathsheba’s strategy to attack was to possess the body of mother to kill the child hence every event that is hurting the Perrons is due to Carolyn who’s possessed. Right after it’s dawned on her they all rush to the house to save the girls.

After subduing Carolyn, Ed decides to perform the exorcism himself, though Carolyn escapes and attempts to kill April. Lorraine is able to temporarily distract the possessed Carolyn from killing her daughter by reminding her of a special memory she shared with her family, allowing Ed to complete the exorcism, saving Carolyn and her daughter.

Review:

Best Horror Movie Ever! Period.
The scares are scarier and the effect is unimaginable. From the very start you feel glued to the seat, even popcorns aren’t required unless you try to escape the horror!
The performances are flawless.

"all the scream-inducing shocks you could want, right on schedule"

The Conjuring is that horror flick we’ve been waiting for so long! So many scenes to skip heartbeat but the closet one wins over!
After watching the girls pay hide’n’clap every clap will haunt!
One of the best thing in this movie is Annabelle the doll. I bet she beats Chucky in the sequel of Conjuring.

“Extremely well-crafted and gleefully creepy”

Performance Ratings:

Lorraine Warren:
Vera Farmiga.

She has done extremely well. One of the very smart tv-life paranormal investigator!
****
Ed Warren:

Very Well Indeed. He was surely in his element in this one.

Exclusive Trailer: The Quiet Ones

Exclusive Trailer: The Quiet Ones

While the legendary horror film studio Hammer Films rose to prominence in the 1970s thanks to established movie monsters and a keen eye for practical effects, the studio’s recent resurgence is much more focused on the ghostly side of the supernatural spectrum. Their upcoming release The Quiet Ones looks like it might inject a little bit of life into this staling sub-genre, as evidenced by the exciting trailer seen above. As they say, it’s always the quiet ones you have to watch…

This trailer is absolutely filled with the shadowy cinematography and jump scares that have permeated these horror films for ages, but I think the central hook is interesting, and I happen to enjoy this brand of faux-period aesthetic being utilized. Like Hammer’s The Woman in Black, the story will probably be par for the course, yet decorated in a pleasing package. We take what we can get sometimes.

The Quiet Ones also stars Jared Harris (Mad Men).Erin Richards (Breaking In), Rory Fleck-Byrne (Stealaway), Max Pirkis (Rome), Laurie Calvert (Episodes) and Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire). I’m pretty sure Lionsgate is hoping even a small percentage of Claflin’s fanbase who watched him in Catching Fire will show up in droves whenever they release the film on April 25.

Movie Review:- Insidious: Chapter 2

Cast:

Patrick Wilson ... Josh Lambert
Rose Byrne ... Renai Lambert
Ty Simpkins ... Dalton Lambert
Lin Shaye ... Elise Rainier
Barbara Hershey ... Lorraine Lambert
Steve Coulter ... Carl
Leigh Whannell ... Specs
Angus Sampson ... Tucker
Andrew Astor ... Foster Lambert

Directed By  ...  James Wan
Story By  ... James Wan & Leigh Whannel

Plot:

Chapter 2 starts from right where we last left it, death of Elise and weird Josh. You feel glued to the screen as the scenes from chapter 1 flow through the screen. Insidious 2 is about giving an end to an evil turn of events and sending back someone who doesn’t belong to the living world.
Movie takes us back in 1986 where a medium named Carl calls upon his friend Elise to help discover what is haunting Lorraine Lambert's son, Josh. After hypnotizing Josh, Elise attempts to find the location of Josh's "friend" (an old woman who appears in photographs of Josh) through playing “Hot or Cold”. After warnings from Josh, Elise makes her way to his bedroom closet and is scratched along the arm. As a result, Lorraine, Carl, and Elise agree that making Josh forget his astral projection abilities is the best thing to do.
In present, Renai is deeply unhappy with her husband’s behavior and doubts his moves. She is still unrecovered from Elise’s sudden death and what she saw in that camera. Even after moving in with her mother-in-law in their family house she feels the negative entities lurking in ambush to possess her family. The situation has gone worst now that she can’t even trust her own husband.
Josh is seen convincing Renai that there is nothing wrong and that the bad days are over, he is forcing his decision of ignoring everything unusual on her. On the other side he is aging rapidly and is speaking to someone behind the curtain.

Renai sees a woman wearing a white dress sitting in the living room. Following the cries of her baby throughout the house, Renai comes face-to-face with the woman in white and is knocked unconscious. During this time, Lorraine visits Elise's colleagues Specs and Tucker to seek an explanation behind the strange events. In doing so, they call upon Carl, who listens to Lorraine's story and attempts to contact Elise on the other side using word-dice. Through the dice, they are told to find answers at the "Our Lady of Angels" hospital (the former workplace of Lorraine). Led through the hospital to the ICU, Lorraine recounts a story of a patient named Parker Crane, who committed suicide by jumping off the roof many years ago. The four decide that Elise is leading them to this man's house. After breaking into Parker's home, they find a black gown and veil as well as newspaper clippings about a killer referred to as "The Bride in Black" who kidnapped and murdered several people while dressed as a woman. It is then revealed to them that it was not Elise speaking through the dice, but actually Parker's mother.
After Renai recovers with Josh at her side, Lorraine arrives home and insists that she, Renai, and the kids get away from Josh. In the car, she explains the origin of "The Bride In Black" and the theory that the real Josh is trapped in the Further. At this same moment, Carl arrives at the house to drug the Josh (possessed by Parker Crane) while Specs and Tucker monitor from their van parked outside. The plan fails, however, and Josh incapacitates Carl, Specs and Tucker. After receiving a message saying everything is okay, Lorraine and Renai return to the house only to be ambushed by Josh. Locking Lorraine in the closet, Josh attempts to choke Renai but is knocked over the head with a bat by Dalton, who has returned home with Foster. Renai and the children then escape to the basement where they barricade themselves in the laundry room. Lying down in a corner with a tin can telephone, Dalton falls asleep and returns to the Further to rescue his father.
Meanwhile, in the Further, the real Josh stumbles upon Carl and the two look for Elise, finding her at the Lamberts' previous home. The three then proceed to Parker's house where they witness his mother, the woman in white, abusing him as a child, whereby she attempts to convince him that his name is Marylyn.

The mother notices the group observing and locks Carl and Elise out of the room. When Josh turns around, the room is dark and filled with standing bodies covered by sheets—the bodies are assumed to be Parker's previous victims. Upon finding Parker's mother among the bodies, the two engage in a fight. Just as Parker, who possessed Josh's body is about to kill Dalton's physical body, Elise enters the room with the help of young Parker and saves Josh by hitting the woman in white with a rocking horse. After the three escape the house, they meet Dalton, who assists Carl and Josh to return to the living world. After Josh and Dalton wake up as themselves, their memories of their astral projection abilities are forgotten through a process of hypnosis as the screen turns white.
That is how they climaxed the horror and retrieved family’s happiness.
But the movie doesn’t end here… Director has already prepared us to brace ourselves for another exciting sequel of Insidious. How? You might wanna see yourself!

Review

The ways this movie starts you can it’s gonna be Great! And it is. It maintained and increased the level of horror and gave a great ending to lambert family’s misery.
Everything you witness on screen feeds the hunger for horror.
Cinema Nazis have been rating this movie quite dishonestly but as a normal person and a horror-lover I definitely waste my money and time on this one. You simply can’t miss the insidiously interesting movie.
Comparatively, Chapter 2 is better than 1 but some flaws are too big to ignore if you watch critically. Performance can somewhat disappoint you but the whole package is worth it!

"the scares are mostly very scary indeed, and that means the film does its job."

Performance Ratings:

Josh:

Patrick Wilson.

He did a good job by spooking with that Parker Crane thing!
However a little less in his element.

Renai:

Rose Byrne.

After watching her worrying on screen you start sympathizing with the housewife-in-distress!

“Things tend to happen when it gets dark”

My Rating For This Horror Flick Is:
****

Box Office: Ride Along (Trailer Included)

New Release: Ride Along

Universal’s opening of “Ride Along” is heading for a decisive victory at this weekend’s U.S. box office, expected to take in between $35 and $38 million over the four days of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.

The comedy, starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, was heading for a Friday gross between $11 million and $14 million based on forecasts from early shows, including the $1.05 million from late-night screenings on Thursday.

Thursday night’s late-night screenings for Universal Pictures’ action comedy Ride Along, which marks the first comedic lead for stand-up performer Kevin Hart, grossed $1M. That beats the opening night of Universal’s The Best Man Holiday, which opened to $689,000 on previews (1,402 runs) on November 14 on its way to a $30.1M three-day gross; Best Man Holiday cumed out at $70.5M.

Universal is also making comparisons to Pain & Gain, which starred Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson and opened on April 25, 2013 for a preview gross of $750,000 and a $20M three-day weekend (odd comparison). Hart, who stars with Ice Cube, previously more than held his own in Grudge Match and in This Is The End, but it will be Ride Along that he’ll be able to call his own (beyond his concert films).

The pic opens with 2,262 runs. This is another holiday weekend with Martin Luther King Day on Monday, so we will have three-day and four-day box office.

Music Video: Maahi Ve (Highway)

Singer & Composer : AR Rahman

Another melody from Highway is out now. Maahi Ve song picturised on Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda, explores the growing relationship between the two protagonists.

The song which begins with the protagonist Alia's kidnapping ends up with developing a bond between the two. Oscar winning duo of composer and sound designer AR Rahman and Resul Pookutty has done a phenomenal job in composing the music for Highway. Irshad Kamil, who has penned down the lyrics for the song, seems not to be too far from the Oscars now.

New Trailer: A Haunted House 2

New Trailer: A Haunted House 2

If the "Paranormal Activity" can release a sequel each year — and in 2014 there will actually be two of them — then why not spoof it every year as well?

Marlon Wayans returns for "A Haunted House 2," the sequel to last year's surprise hit parody of found-footage horror movies. He's joined by returning funnymen Cedric the Entertainer and Affion Crockett, along with new stars Jaime Pressly and Gabriel Iglesias (who Wayans actually hired for the movie over Twitter).

Wayans (who also co-wrote the script) has apparently been watching a lot of scary flicks since the last one, because the exclusive new trailer is packed with jokes and references — including the "clap-clap" scene from 2013's "The Conjuring." And it's got the most extreme man-vs.-chicken fight since "Family Guy."

It will release this year on March 28 2014.

Based On Novel Of  ... Stephen King

Plot :

Adaptation of Stephen King’s famous novel, Carrie is an American supernatural horror film. It tells story of a shy teenage girl whose feelings are being caged by her extra religious mother who gave birth to her alone in a room and intended to kill the newborn but changed her mind. Carrie’s mother has narrow religious mind and she is bound to live life accordingly. Misery starts when she experiences her first period and naively thinks that she is bleeding to death and calls for other girls’ help that’s when she is targeted by high-school bullies. Instead of helping her they tease her by throwing tampons and record her video which they later upload on internet.
However Carrie’s gym teacher helps her and shows great concern by calling her mother to pick her up. Carrie terrified to leave with her mother refuses to go but is forced to leave. Margaret (Carrie’s mother) demands that Carrie abstain from showering with the others. When Carrie refuses, Margaret hits her with a Bible and locks her in her "prayer closet". As Carrie screams to be let out, a crack appears on the door, and the crucifix in the closet begins to bleed.

Miss Desjardin informs the girls who teased Carrie that they will endure boot-camp style detention for their behavior. When Chris, who uploaded the video of the incident on Youtube, refuses, she is suspended from school and banned from the prom. She storms out, vowing revenge. Carrie learns that she has telekinesis, the ability to move things with her mind. She researches her abilities, learning to harness them. Sue Snell regrets teasing Carrie in the incident and attempts to make amends by asking her boyfriend, Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to the prom. When he asks Carrie for prom she doesn’t believe at first but then she accepts Tommy's invitation. When she tells her mother, Margaret forbids Carrie to attend. Asking her mother to relent, Carrie manifests her telekinesis. Margaret believes this power comes from the Devil and is proof that Carrie has been corrupted by sin.
Against all odds Carrie gets ready to leave for prom all dolled up in her beautiful dress. She locks her mother into prayer closet and leaves home to live the most memorable eve of her life.
On the other side Chris and her boyfriend have planned a revenge. She gets Carrie on stage with a trick supported by her friend and when she is about to be crowned as prom queen a bucket full of pork blood fells on her. At the same time video of her in the shower room is played, inciting laughter from most of the audience. Meanwhile the rope slips from Chris’s hand bucket falls on to Tommy’s head killing him.
The whole turn of events unleashes the dark side of power in Carrie and results in horrific deaths of many students who were a part of Carrie’s humiliation plan.

After killing Chris she goes to her house in order to make up with her mom who is ready to kill Carrie to get rid of her Devil. Margaret tells Carrie about the night of Carrie's conception. After having shared a bed platonically with her husband, they yielded to temptation one night and, after praying for strength, Carrie's father "took" Margaret, who enjoyed the experience. Margaret attacks Carrie, who attempts to flee but kills her with several sharp tools. She becomes hysterical and makes stones rain from the sky to crush the house. When Sue arrives, a furious Carrie grabs her with her powers, but senses something inside Sue, and tells her that her baby is female. Carrie pushes a stunned Sue out of the house to safety as the house collapses and apparently kills Carrie.

Review:

Firstly, for those who have no knowledge of this novel or the original Carrie and are simply intending to watch the movie in search of a little horror time or after hearing of the movie ‘People’s Choice Award’ popularity, kindly throw the expectation of nail-biting horror out of your mind! It is a pure suspense flick which will satisfy the need of revenge if you were ever bullied in high school.
Storyline is quite interesting and characters make this one worth your time and money.
Now for whose who are already familiar with the original, this was a remake worth watching.Everything discordant and all the nagging weirdness and strange feelings surrounding the original have been smoothed down, and what we're left with is a well-made, highly satisfying and not particularly deep high school revenge movie.
“And the Lord visited Eve with the curse, and the curse was the curse of blood!”

Character Reviews:

Carrie:
Chloe Grace Mortez has done extraordinarily good while playing the shy and introvert Carrie but she was found short on the revenge-ful and dark side of her character.

Margaret:
Julianne Moore.
Simply Awesome! She has been the best painfully religious and sadist to the extent mother we ever saw on screen.

Sue Snell:
Gabriella Wilde.
She played her part effortlessly. She is definitely not just a pretty face!

Chris Hargensen:
Portia Doubleday.
The mean girl totally makes you hate her with her bully attitude and wins over!

Rating :

***1/2
