Official Trailer: "Villians" of 300-Rise Of An Empire

The latest featurette from Warner Bros.' 300: Rise of an Empire offers new insight into the villains Artemisia (Eva Green) and Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro). We learn that Artemisia's entire family was slaughtered by Greek soldiers, causing her to train with the Persian army as she vows to get vengeance. This action-packed follow-up also shows the transformation of Xerxes into a God-king, through the manipulation of Artemisia, giving this villain a proper origin story. Check out this featurette with new footage and interviews from producers Deborah Snyder, Gianni Nunnari, Zack Snyder, Gianni Nunnari, director Noam Murro, Eva Green and Rodrigo Santoro, before the battle begins in theaters March 7.

Book Review: Divergent By Veronica Roth

Plot/Summary:

Beatrice Prior resides in a dystopian Chicago where society is divided into five different factions. These factions were created to grow specific virtues and to bring harmony to the world— Candor, Dauntless, Amity, Erudite, and Abnegation. On a designated day once a year each and every sixteen year old among the factions must make a choice, a choice that transforms their future. On this day each one is to decide the faction they will be devoted to for the rest of their lives. The choice for Beatrice is to live her life with her family, or be who she really is— there is no way she can have both. The decision she makes is one that surprises everyone— including herself.
After the decisions have been made the new initiates all go through their chosen factions’ initiation. Beatrice, now called Tris , struggles with the other initiates in order to live out the choice they have made. The initiates undergo tests that challenge them in every way—physically, mentally, and emotionally—some having dire consequences. Initiation is a transforming time and during it Tris has to determine who her true friends are and how a new relationship with a fascinating, sometimes overwhelming boy all fit into her new life. Through all of this Tris has been holding back information, about herself, that she has been warned not to share or it could lead to her death. She soon discovers conflict and unrest that threatens to destroy the seemingly perfect society she once knew, she even comes to discover that her secret may be the one thing that can save them all—or it could be the one thing that destroys her.

Book Review:

Divergent was a fun, addicting, action-packed read that hooked me from page one. Its unique and imaginative concept is thickly layered without ever becoming difficult to follow. It wasn't at all plausible, but it also never became over-the-top or silly. It was a perfectly formulated source of enjoyment and a captivating read!

I can't touch on plot details because there is too much mystery to potentially spoil, but I will say that the story revolves around an alternate world that has been divided into factions representing five honorable human traits. The people who inhabit these factions follow rules and stick to their "group". But even a carefully constructed society contains individuals hungry for more power; those who will go to any extent to obtain it. 

I loved the deeper meaning generated throughout this story: how these human virtues are singled out and thoroughly defined. We see the good and bad of each, as well as the consequential aftermath. We are shown the impact and power of these values combined. Although this book represents a dystopian world, there are universal truths to be found within its pages.

-“We believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another.”

The characters were perfection. Our Heroine, Tris (Beatrice) is strong, independent, and quick to adapt. She endures an honest struggle to define herself and her worth. 

Four displays honorable traits and was incredibly easy to love. He's a gentle hero, with a fierce determination. I enjoyed the slow build-up to his relationship with Tris, and the fact the he wasn't quick to fawn all over her—yet the way he defended her honor was admirable. Their romance was youthful, and sweet—very realistic for their tender age.

The fans of “The Hunger Games” and other such dystopian novels are going to love this book. It has less violence as compared to THG but a strong and completely different storyline. Another thing! Thank God there isn’t any clichéd love triangle in this book. Our Four-Tris ship is gonna sail without any icebergs for quite a long time.

I recommend this bad-ass and gripping book to all of you and rate it:

You can’t keep a good Muppet down. The 2011 reboot, despite earning just $88-million at the box office, garnered enough good will (plus an Oscar for the song Man or Muppet and, less importantly, a four-star review from yours truly) to make a sequel happen.

And while the first trailer for Muppets Most Wanted was a pretty standard affair – clips, quips, screen time for co-stars Ricky Gervais and Tina Fey, and some of the many cameos – it wasn’t quite up the Muppets’ usual standard of insouciance. (Recall that the trailers for the last Muppet movie included sendups of The Hangover Part II, The Hunger Games and Paranormal Activity.)

Now the felt gang has released a new trailer called Sequel Song, a toe-tapping number with solos from Animal, Gonzo, and Gonzo’s chickens.

“We’re doing a sequel!” Kermit and Fozzie sing, decked out in gold top hats. “That’s what we do in Hollywood! And everybody knows that the sequel’s never quite as good.”

They get a little more positive as they continue: “We’re doing a sequel! There’s no need to disguise; the studio considers us a viable franchise.” And: “We’re doing a sequel! The studio wants more, while they wait for Tom Hanks to make Toy Story 4.”

Official "New" Trailer : Godzilla (2014)

I'm typically not into big budget blockbusters, but holy shit am I excited about Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures' Godzilla, which is fast approaching. Directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters), the film is primed and ready to wash the bad taste of 1998's lackluster effort out of all of our mouths, and at long last give us the Godzilla flick that we deserve, and that we've been patiently waiting for.

A few months after the excitement began with a teaser trailer, and a mere 24 hours after we heard his roar, the full official trailer for Godzilla 2014 has arrived, and it's home to a whole lot of brand new footage that wasn't previously seen in the teaser. Though it still doesn't provide a full look at the titular beast, I can nevertheless promise you it's the most awesome thing you'll see all week.

If you weren't yet head over heels excited about the movie, prepare for that to change.

Check out the epic trailer, and look for Godzilla in theaters on May 16th!

New Trailer: A Haunted House 2

If the "Paranormal Activity" can release a sequel each year — and in 2014 there will actually be two of them — then why not spoof it every year as well?

Marlon Wayans returns for "A Haunted House 2," the sequel to last year's surprise hit parody of found-footage horror movies. He's joined by returning funnymen Cedric the Entertainer and Affion Crockett, along with new stars Jaime Pressly and Gabriel Iglesias (who Wayans actually hired for the movie over Twitter).

Wayans (who also co-wrote the script) has apparently been watching a lot of scary flicks since the last one, because the exclusive new trailer is packed with jokes and references — including the "clap-clap" scene from 2013's "The Conjuring." And it's got the most extreme man-vs.-chicken fight since "Family Guy."

It will release this year on March 28 2014.

Plot:

After seven earlier films reaching back a decade, the Harry Potter saga comes to a solid and satisfying conclusion in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2." The finale conjures up enough awe and solemnity to serve as an appropriate finale and a dramatic contrast to the lighthearted (relative) innocence of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" all those magical years ago.

Harry, Hermione and Ron are grown up now, and Harry has even grown the facial stubble required of all epic  heroes. The time has come for him to face Lord Voldemort  in their final showdown, and their conflict is staged in a series of special effects sequences containing  power and conviction. I am still not sure what the bolts discharged by magic wands actually consist of, but never mind. 

They look wicked and lethal.  This final film is a reunion of sorts for a great many characters we've come to know over the years. So many distinguished British actors have played roles in the Potter films that make a recurrence in this movie; Bellatrix Lestrange, Rubeus Hagrid, Professor Dumbledore, Ollivander, Lucius Malfoy, Sirius Black, Severus Snape, Remus Lupin and even Prof. Minerva McGonagall, who is called upon to summon her powers and shield Hogwarts School from the powers of Voldemort.

Summary:

Hogwarts is home. And Harry returns to Hogwarts to seek the last Horcrux that contains Voldemort’s fragment of soul and destroy it. Turns out, Voldy is planning to attack the school if Harry doesn’t surrender himself. So, our sweet sweet professor Mc Gonagall  and other teachers lay out a whole sequence of magical security to help Harry buy some time until his job is done. The Weasleys, Lupin, Tonks all help the others in this war. And it is thought that Snape is Voldemort’s puppet! *Huge Spoiler Alert* WE LOVE YOU SNAPE!!! *sob*. Everyone is in their full essence in this movie. Those little actors fighting over the “Wingardium Leviosa” spell in the first movie are finally together. Neville is a true hero. Voldemort  gives us all the more reason to crack jokes about noses. And Harry, well he’s the chosen one. You have to see this EPIC FINALE for yourself to believe. And when you see it, everytime all those moments  from  the last 7 movies flash before your eyes.

Review:

How can I review this perfect film from a perfect franchise with perfect actors? Hmm, only one word:

MAGNIFICENT!

I love every moment of this film like a true Potterhead. This movie is true to the last book, just how I imagined it. And those moments with our beloved characters dying *sigh*, so heart wrenching. Even when Hogwarts was being destroyed in that cruel war between the death eaters and the ‘Harry Potter Army’ my heart ached for that building. Each stone turned to rubble made me wanna jump. I think it’s time I pay a visit to Warner Bros Studio in London.  Someone please take me there!  These kids we saw growing up as we grew up ourselves, they’ll always be our friends! Always! Another word that Potterheads  will understand for sure. So take some popcorn, chocolates and a tissue box and watch it from start till end (I love the ending scene just the same way it was in the book) .

Dare not miss this opportunity to bid farewell to your decade-old hero Harry, with a tear and a smile.

This movie is the BEST FINALE EVERRR so my rating for this movie is:

Plot Summary:

Bella has finally become a vampire. Baby Renesmee successfully killed her during birth (thanks, Renesmee!), breaking her spine and enabling Edward to inject her with his venom..ah nice situation of “Bite Me!”. Kristen Stewart, no longer playing a passive, depressed schoolgirl, is allowed to be funny. Now that she isn’t faced with choosing between the two hottest guys in school and pesky issues of mortality, Bella is a lot more fun to watch. The same can be said for Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Everything feels so much lighter this time around. In contrast to previous installments, in which the story was prone to angst-related slackness  and clumsiness, this film’s only real pacing problem is the Cullen family’s rather lengthy period of domestic bliss.

The story picks up again when the Volturi -- a sort of vampire monarchy -- hear news of Renesmee’s existence. Under the mistaken impression that the girl is an immortal child (that is, a child who was bitten and turned into a vampire too young to be able to control its killing urges, and thus threatens to expose the existence of bloodsuckers to humans), the Volturi plan to slaughter the entire Cullen clan for breaking the law and doing the forbidden. When Alice (Ashley Greene) gets wind of this via a psychic vision, the Cullens decide to assemble an army of vampires that can hold back the Volturi long enough to explain that Renesmee is a human/vampire hybrid and does not pose the same danger. 

As it turns out, there are pro-Cullen, non-“vegetarian,” vampires around the world, each with their ownunabashedly cliched sense of style. So many creepy vampires take refuge under the same roof, with only wolf, Jacob(Taylor Lautner) in the house, creepy! Oh another thing! Jacob imprints on Renesmee or Nessie. Means they’re soulmates now! Nice wolfy rules Jake. Marrying your first love’s daughter is sure as hell gonna be fun and AWKWARDDD! Specially the moments between Edward and Jake . Somehow, it works and adds to the fun of the film.

Although the film follows the novel relatively faithfully, the finale deviates from the original story in a truly outrageous way that needs to be seen to be believed and will undoubtedly have its naysayers. Yet it remains true to the books by being entertaining in spite of itself. Condon, the cast, and the crew of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 have made something they can be proud of.

Review:

“Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2” has perfected the end and will have fans falling in love all over again. There was enough drama to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. The dramatic fight sequence was a show stopper with remarkable special effects. Pattison and Stewart had their fiery chemistry and the young Renesmee portrayed by Mackenzie Foy was impressive. This young beauty was a great addition. Also totally I totally fell in love with the part two of Christina Perri’s “Thousand Years”.Twilight soundtrack has always been a treat. But that thing they did before the credits showing each and every cast member of Twilight franchise on this song was just EPIC! Loved it completely. Also  that little twist with Marcus and Alice’s vision, ha ha fun!!

 “Breaking Dawn Part 2” offers readers and moviegoers the ending they hoped for. Only problem is most will be asking for more and wishing it was not the final chapter.
