Expectations:

Dhoom 3 is the most awaited movie of 2013 and people has alot of expectations from it. Dhoom is a brand that is known for action and bikes and villians are more powerful than hero in this franchise. So as in Dhoom 3 the promotion was so less that only a single trailer and Dhoom Machale (title track) was on air else apart it was a full surprise for the viewers. It has Mr. Perfectionist in it Aamir Khan as the Bad Man and its the Return of Mr.Khan on Dec which was his date his three big hits were released on christmas,Taare Zameen Par,Ghajini,3 Idiots and Ghajini started the 100crore mark in the industry same as the 3 idiots showed that 200crores are also not impossible. Dhoom 3 means 300crore? is it cause YRF is the biggest brand of bollywood as well as it is the widest release across India so the stakes are all high and people had already booked their tickets. Here my Review for the Biggest Movie of 2013 Dhoom 3 for you Mates!

Preview:

Firstly the Preview Mr.Iqbal (Jackie Sharoff) runs a circus called the Great Indian Circus in Chicago and he owes bank and cannot pay them back so bank took his circus property and he cannot bear this pain that he shoot himself infront of his son Sahir (child Aamir khan) and later the child has grown big as Aamir Khan and takes revenge against the bank. For catching him the bank hires India's top cop duo ACP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) & Ali (Uday Chopra).Meanwhile Sahir has also worked for the restart of the Great Indian Circus and he find a dancer as Aaliya (Katrina Kaif). So what do you think can Sahir destory the bank and take his revenge or ACP Jai Dixit will catch him? For all that buy your tickets and go to cinema.

Review:

Writing Review for this movie maybe not a good thing cause the suspense thing will be over which came in the post interval. The Movie starts with Aamir's Childhood and Baba Jackie Showing tricks to the Bank Guys to convince them not to shut their Circus down. But they do and Jackie Shoots himself. Then You see Sahir was dreaming all this and then money starts raining.. and Sahir is running down from the building as seen in the trailer. Its his entry and the first chase sequence of the movie which is very well picturized i mean i have never seen this type of action scenes in a bollywood movie and i bet you also havent seen in a bollywood movie like this. Then Chase ends and Dhoom Tap starts after that it shows the entry of Ali & Jai fighting in Tamil Movie Style against the goons in Mumbai and beat the hell of those guys.

Then Sahir Met Aaliya at the audition for his circus. Kamli song is so well choreographed and Katrina has put her heart out in the songs in this movie. They are hired to catch Mr. Clown Thief Sahir and they get so close to catch him that even Jai Shoots Sahir on Shoulder during the 2nd Chase but he escapes from their two. After that the big Malang song which cost Indian Rupees 50,000,000 and yes its too good to watch on big screen Aamir and Katrina are a cute pair but Now good enough to see them romancing. Movie has a smooch between Sahir and Aaliya a small one which is less effective actually i found it same as Jab tak hai Jaan. Cant disclose any more story cause then the flavor of the movie will come to an end.

Can tell you that you will be shocked at the intermission scene but movie dips in the second half badly, all the disneyland thing was not good but the song Tu hi Junoon was well picturized and Again the chemistry between the thief and Ms.Acrobat looks cute but not extraordinary. Then the final chase is the something good and the climax if you can guess what is the Dhoom Climax Mates. ACP Jai Dixit has never caught the thief but can he this time?? Alot to tell but i cant, so buy you tickets and watch it by yourself. Its something you have never seen in bollywood.

Plus Points Of the Movie : Aamir Khan for sure and Action Sequence and the Choreography.

Weak Points : The story dips after the interval until the last chase. So i was a bit bored for 30mins!

Performance Wise:

Acting wise all were good Uday Chopra (i hate you) he was the worst. Katrina was no where apart the songs. Why was she there in the end? cause there was no need of her there! Abhishek Bachchan he was better than Dhoom 2 for sure but missed her wife ,(Rimi Sen) LOLZ, he acted Ok there, Then its the one who has created this Dhoom Mr.Perfectionist Aamir Khan,he is unmatchable and has beaten John & Hrithik by a long margin. Actually he isn't stealing anything but just taking Revenge so unlike the last 2 Dhoom shows that they are robbers but this one shows why is he robbing the banks? and he isn't a robber actually. A bit confusing ? Aamir will clear all your confusion just go and watch him on the big screen. He worked so hard on his dancing skills that shows how good he is

Direction : VKA (Vijay Krishan Acharaya) sorry if i spell it wrong but Just like Tashan the 2nd hours dips and he made this Dhoom a more Drama Than Action Flick but he shows his class Brilliantly and hope he just make a bit more tight gripping direction that will make people attract more cause the hype and expectations were so much from this movie.

Music:

Music: Audio are just OK, But Watch Them and you will love Every Single song even its the first time i got up After Watching the Last Song Dhoom Machale On End Credits. My Picks, Kamli, Malang, Tu Hi Junoon & Dhoom Machale. I Loved The Visuals

"Its a must watch Movie,Atleast One time to see bollywood progressing big time! "

I would have rated 5 out of 5 but the 2nd half was a let down so i will rate it :

Trailer Preview: How To Train Your Dragon 2

Official Trailer: How To Train Your Dragon 2

The 2013 film season closes with a dragon in theaters ("The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," in case you've fallen asleep at the wheel), and next year, the 2014 summer movie season kicks off with a dragon of its own: a comparatively less toothy beast than the snarling Smaug.

"How To Train Your Dragon 2," DreamWorks Animation's anticipated sequel, flies high into theaters in just six months, and there's a brand-new trailer here to prove it. The film, starring the voices of Jay Baruchel and Jonah Hill, among many others, takes place five years after the original, with the Vikings of Berk coexisting peacefully alongside their new dragon allies.

When the trailer begins, we see just how far along Hiccup and his dragon pal Toothless have come — an impressive distance, as Hiccup lost part of his leg at the end of the first "How to Train Your Dragon," but has since rebounded magnificently.

"Life here is amazing," he narrates as the trailer picks up, showing the viewer how dragons have changed life around Berk: they're used as means of transportation, they play games in the sky with their new Viking friends ... it's a happy existence. "Dragons used to be a bit of a problem, but now they've all moved in. With Vikings on the backs of dragons, the world just got a whole lot bigger."

Indeed, the alliance between Viking and dragons means greater potential for exploration. We see that firsthand in the trailer, when Hiccup and Toothless venture far off into the distance, discovering a masked woman who seems to know a lot about dragons — a woman who reveals herself as Hiccup's mom.

Missing since his birth, Hiccup's mother has been gathering dragons in secret for some time, and she warns Hiccup that "something is coming, something you've never faced before."

Whatever that dark "something" is, it has the ability to drive a wedge between Vikings and dragons again, as the two become "enemies again" by the end of the trailer — and it's up to Hiccup and Toothless to put that conflict to rest once and for all.

"How to Train your Dragon 2" hits theaters on June 13, 2014.

Official Youtube Trailer: Blended (2014)

Official Youtube Trailer: Blended (2014)

First was The Wedding Singer, then 50 First Dates, now Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore team up once again for another Hollywood romantic comedy. This one is called Blended and it’s scheduled for release May 23. Directed by frequent Sandler collaborator Frank Coraci, Blended tells the story of two people who go on a terrible blind date, then find themselves on vacation together on African safari.

Blended looks like a movie made as an excuse to go on vacation. The hyper-stretch plot of two people who randomly find out a vacation is up for grabs, then both go, is bad enough. From there, the jokes all look unimaginative, predictable and awkwardly slap-stick. Nothing about the movie feels imaginative or interesting, except the setting, and that’s probably the point. Unfortunately for Drew Barrymore, Blended feels much more like the new Adam Sandler (Grown Ups, Jack and Jill) than the one who made solid films with her in the past.

Let us know what you think about the trailer below. Here’s the official plot description:

“Blended” marks the third comedy collaboration between stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, following their successful onscreen pairings in the hit romantic comedies “50 First Dates” and “The Wedding Singer.”

After a disastrous blind date, single parents Lauren (Barrymore) and Jim (Sandler) agree on only one thing: they never want to see each other again. But when they each sign up separately for a fabulous family vacation with their kids, they are all stuck sharing a suite at a luxurious African safari resort for a week.

Slated for release on May 23, 2014, “Blended” is a Warner Bros. Pictures presentation of a Gulfstream Pictures/Happy Madison Production and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment company.

Official Trailer: 22 Jump Street

Official Trailer: 22 Jump Street

It’s hard to imagine that production on 22 Jump Street – the sequel to 2012′s surprise comedy hit, 21 Jump Street – only began this past September. Only a couple of months later, we’re already being treated to two trailers for the film in as many days. On Monday, the red band trailer debuted online, laying the groundwork for the latest drug-busting adventure in Morton Schmidt’s (Jonah Hill) and Greg Jenko’s (Channing Tatum) career as undercover cops; yesterday, MGM followed up on that with a green band version of the same clip, seen above.

Expect all of the usual differences between red and green band fare, of course, but for as similar as both teasers are (down to the self-referential meta jokes), the latest promo manages to pull out a few new gags of its own. Want to know what notorious modern celebrity couple Schmidt and Jenko best resemble? Curious to see Hill do his own slapstick version of the infamous octopus scene from Oldboy? You’ll have to watch the bit for yourself to see how these play out, though they’re likely much, much cleaner than what we’ll see in the theatrical cut of the film.

This time out, Jenko and Schmidt have moved on from high school to higher learning, taking their fight against drug runners to the hallowed halls of college. Based on the footage released to date, the change in location doesn’t foster change in behavior or shenanigans; as anyone might expect, college parties are going to be more plentiful and far more outrageous, so our heroes will likely have their hands full trying to crack the case while indulging themselves in some bacchanalian fun.

That’s one area where the new trailer sets itself apart from the red band bit: it introduces the slightest amount of plot into the proceedings, hinting at the ways Jenko’s and Schmidt’s relationship might change throughout 22 Jump Street‘s story. Jenko looks to be just as protective of his best friend as ever, and Schmidt, well, he seems to be at least a little resentful of (or at least exasperated by) Jenko’s nannying ways.

But directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have clearly upped the action and slapstick quotient to compliment the emotional elements of the movie, too, so there’s plenty of reason to be excited for what they’ve got going on here. (Hill, according to both filmmakers, has done a lot more of his own stunt work for the sequel as well, to his chagrin and everyone else’s delight.)

The only bad news is that there’s a bit of a wait to go before 22 Jump Street hits theaters in 2014, but it should be worth all of the anticipation.

Song Review: Baaki Sab First Class- Jai Ho (Salman Khan)

JAI HO: Baaki Sab First Class (First Official Song)

Sung by Sajid-Wajid, Baaki sab first class is a satire on the sorry state of Indian nation. The lyrics are quirky but the music is nothing that we haven’t heard. In the video, you get to see Salman Khan groove in his Dabangg style which is quite entertaining as always. However, Salman is flaunting red glares while dancing which is so-not-cool. It seems as if bhai is in a 3D mode. Watch the video and you’ll agree with us. Though music composer duo Sajid-Wajid haven’t offered anything new as far as music is concerned, Baaki sab first class may appeal to the gen next as it talks about corruption, women not being safe and all the social evils that exist in today’s time. At a time when Aam Aadmi Party is trying to bring a change in Indian politics, wethinks this fast paced satirical number will find a place in the playlist of many youngsters. However, we did expect something original after all the hype around Jai Ho but the makers have disappointed us.

All in all, Apna kaam banta, bhaad mein jaye janta is a fun song to hear. And of course, Salman’s got a new trademark step but wethinks the Dabangg one was much better. While we didn’t find the first song of Jai Ho highly impressive, you hear the song, watch the video and share your opinion.

BOOK REVIEW: Let It Snow

BOOK REVIEW: Let It Snow

by John Green , Maureen Johnson Lauren Myracle

Plot :

Sparkling white snowdrifts, beautiful presents wrapped in ribbons, and multicolored lights glittering in the night through the falling snow. A Christmas Eve snowstorm transforms one small town into a romantic haven, the kind you see only in movies. Well, kinda. After all, a cold and wet hike from a stranded train through the middle of nowhere would not normally end with a kiss from a charming stranger. And no one would think that a trip to the Waffle House through four feet of snow would lead to love with an old friend. Or that the way back to true love begins with a painfully early morning shift at Starbucks. Thanks to three of today’s bestselling teen authors—John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle—the magic of the holidays shines on these hilarious and charming interconnected tales of love, romance, and friendship.

Summary:

The Jubilee Express

This story follows teenager Jubilee Dougal, who has been forced to spend Christmas Eve with her grandparents after her parents are arrested for participating in a riot over a set of miniature decorative houses. While on the train ride to her grandparents' place in Florida, Jubilee meets Jeb, who is trying to contact his girlfriend back home but is unable to find cell phone service.
She also runs into a group of cheerleaders, whom she attempts to distance herself from due to them annoying her. She grows further annoyed and exacerbated after the train gets stuck in a large snowstorm on Christmas Eve. While trying to call her boyfriend Noah, Jubilee runs into Stuart, a fellow teenager and employee of Target.
After talking with him for a little while, he invites her to spend Christmas with him and his family. Jubilee agrees and is welcomed into his family's home. Stuart's mother comments that she hadn't seen Stuart this happy since before he discovered his girlfriend was cheating on him. Meanwhile Jubilee continues to tell Stuart about how wonderful Noah is, only to realize that Noah has not contacted her at all that night. She calls Noah up and confronts him.
When Noah cannot respond to her queries over why he couldn't at least show some concern, she breaks up with him. Stuart comes to comfort Jubilee and the two kiss. Feeling guilty, Jubilee tries to sneak out and is discovered by Stuart, who tells her that everything will be OK and not to let Noah walk all over her. Her phone rings with a phone call from Noah, only for Jubilee to toss the phone into the snow and kisses Stuart, after which the two walk back to his home together.

A Cheertastic Christmas Miracle

The story  follows a boy Tobin and his friends, the Duke (a tomboy whose real name is Angie), and JP, who are watching movies at Tobin's home while his parents are out of town. They're lured to the local Waffle House by a phone call from their friend Keun, who tells them that a group of cheerleaders has entered the store and are practicing their routines, as well as requesting to play Twister.
Thinking that traveling to the restaurant with the game would be a waste of time, Duke is initially reluctant to go but is persuaded by Tobin, who tells her that there will be hashbrowns. On the way to the Waffle House the trio's car crashes into a snow bank close to the restaurant, losing one of the tires. They forget the Twister game in the car and must go back for it at one point, but eventually make it to the Waffle House.
Once inside, they run into the character of Jeb, who is still trying to reach his girlfriend. He asks them if they know anyone by the name of Addie. The three say no, and he asks them that if they see her, to tell her that he was coming and that she would know what he meant. Tobin then attempts and fails to make conversation with one of the cheerleaders.
While he's returning to his seat, he notices that Duke is sitting outside on the sidewalk, clearly upset and crying. He goes outside to find out what is wrong, only for her to tell him that she's upset that nobody thinks of her as a girl and that she was jealous that he'd flirted with the cheerleader despite her feelings for him. Tobin tells her that he had been unaware of her feelings, but that he had also had a crush on her all along. The two then kiss.

The Patron Saint of Pigs

The third story follows a girl named Addie, who is depressed because she broke up with her boyfriend Jeb. The backstory of her relationship with Jeb is told, about how the two had instantly fallen for each other, but that Addie had kept trying to change Jeb. This resulted in Jeb feeling inferior and the two fighting. After one fight Addie had gotten drunk and made out with someone else, telling Jeb it was over. Upset, Jeb had taken a train to meet his family on an Indian reservation, unaware that Addie has sent him an email apologizing and hoping to work things out.
When he didn't call or respond, Addie assumed that the relationship was over and cut her hair short and dyed it pink as a way to show that she wanted a change. She calls her friends over to talk, only for them to tell her that she can be self-absorbed and doesn't think of others. Disagreeing, she states that in the morning she will purchase a teacup pig as a gift for her friend Tegan while she is on break from work at Starbucks. The next morning at work Addie ends up getting caught in conversation with a woman who claims to be a "Christmas Angel" and says that people forget to do things for others when they get wrapped up in themselves. This causes her to forget to pick up the pig, who has been adopted by someone else. Upset, Addie manages to get the address of the woman who adopted the pig, who ends up being the woman she spoke to earlier.
The woman informs Addie that she took the pig to teach her a lesson and gives Addie the pig. Addie then returns to work, where she sees Stuart and Jubilee and Tobin and Angie, the couples from the two previous stories. Tobin sees her name tag, which prompts him to tell her that he had met Jeb and that he had a message from her. After hearing the message Addie's spirits lift and suddenly Jeb walks into the store, having arrived shortly after the others. The two embrace, and then Jeb tells her about the train ride and his attempts to call her. As he tells her about various things he saw on the way, Tobin and Duke are drawn into the conversation as they recount that they had gone to see them at the Waffle House. Jubilee then realizes how everyone's lives have been brought together and how it had all changed for the better.

Review:

This is the perfect book to curl up with when it’s cold and snowing outside. It is one of those reads that just makes you want to snuggle up on your couch, a hot cocoa or tea in hand and enjoy the winterly atmosphere. In fact, the only thing missing for my perfect reading experience was the fireplace and snow.
I don’t want to give too much away about the stories themselves because I think it is best to go into this book unprepared and let yourself be surprised. I liked all three stories, but The Jubilee Express and A Cheertastic Christmas Miracle were slightly better than the last one, The Patron Saint of Pigs.
The first one was the funniest. And all the stories were linked together like those movies, ‘Valentine Day’, ‘New Year’s Eve’ and ‘Love Actually’.

All in all, this short story collection is perfect for you if you are looking for a light and fun Christmas/winter read.

The stories are sometimes hilarious, sometimes sweet, slightly crazy, full of lovable characters , provide you with a nice Christmas/winter feeling, make you laugh out loud and are just great to get lost in. I'm positive I'll pick this book up again some coming winter.

My rating for this light and funny book is :
***1/2
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Movie Review: Frozen

Movie Review: Frozen

Some people are worth melting for.

CAST

Directed by: Chris Buck & Jennifer Lee
Based on: The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen
Distributed by: Walt Disney Studios
Music by: Christophe Beck

Starring:

Kristen Bell as Princess Anna
Idina Menzel as Queen Elsa
Jonathan Groff as Kristoff
Josh Gad as Olaf
Santino Fontana as Prince Hans

Summary:

“Frozen” is an animation movie presented by the Walt Disney Studios ; from the creators of Tangled.  Despite the frosty title, it's a warm-hearted, rousing and stunning animated saga ideally poised for the holiday season. Like The Little Mermaid, it's loosely based on a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale —The Snow Queen — updated with contemporary wit, a stellar musical score and superb vocal talent.
The fresh focus in this Disney film is on sisterhood. Anna (Kristen Bell) and her older sister Elsa (Idina Menzel) are more complex heroines than The Little Mermaid's Ariel, though just as tuneful, energetic and winning. It's a worthy follow-up to 2009's The Princess and the Frog and 2010's Tangled in terms of musical score and magical appeal. Elaborately rendering snow and ice in myriad breathtaking variations, Frozen is set in a mythical kingdom of Arendelle. Glacial castles, crystalline icicles and intricately delicate snowflakes dazzle.

Plot:

Eight-year-old Elsa, princess of Arendelle, possesses the power to freeze. One night while playing, she accidentally injures her five-year-old sister Anna. The King and Queen seek help from the troll people who heal Anna and remove her memories of her sister's powers. In order to protect Elsa and keep her powers a secret, the royal family locks themselves away in their castle. Elsa, who was being kept away from people for their safety, spends most of her time hiding in her room and the two sisters grow apart as they grow up. The King and Queen die in a sea storm. Thirteen years later, the people of Arendelle prepare for Elsa's coronation ceremony. Excited that the castle's gates will finally open to the public, Anna explores the town and meets Prince Hans of the Southern Isles, and fall for each other instantly. Elsa's coronation goes off without incident, and the two sisters begin to bond again at the reception. During the reception, Hans proposes to Anna, who hastily accepts. Elsa, however, refuses to grant her blessing on the marriage, setting off an argument between the sisters, which leads to Elsa's abilities being exposed to the guests.
Panicked, Elsa flees, unknowingly unleashing an eternal winter on the kingdom in the process. Anna teams up with Kristoff in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Elsa.

Will they get to her in time to stop the winter? Find out for yourself by watching this winter treat from Disney.

Review:

The Love for your sister can melt hearts; Melting snow – or taking away piercing winter – is not that big a problem.

Much of “Frozen” is tagged around Elsa and Anna, and at times, a lot of miscommunication. While “Frozen” juggles the sister’s longing and love part fine, it drops the ball on the romantic bit. Kristoff – who comes in as the second lead to Hans – is never fleshed out from his role as a supporting character, because sometimes heroes to Disney Princesses just have to bow to the awesomeness of girl power (not every movie can match pairs like Aladdin and Jasmine, or Flynn and Rapunzel). Rapunzel and Flynn also make a cameo in the movie.
This movie is just right for the wintry season. It’s a family film which the kids and parents both will enjoy thoroughly. The snowman Olaf wins our heart. How he wants to experience the summer season (although he will melt) and his ever smiling face made me go ‘Aww’. Anna is a really bubbly and optimistic girl. She wants to see the world but the love for her sister comes first. The way she sings,

‘Do you want to build a snowman?’

I love her more. And then there is Elsa. A girl who is afraid of a gift she has been blessed with because she doesn’t want to hurt anybody. She lives her life in isolation killing away all the dreams she ever had for herself. Her vulnerability and kindness reminds us of the old Disney movies.

This movie teaches us that family comes first and also that an act of love is always not a kiss from a prince or anyone. It can be an act of sacrifice too.

Although the soundtrack is not as EPIC as Tangled’s but it is great! The song ‘Let It Go’ by Idina Menzel and the Demi Lovato version of the same song are on repeat at my playlist. Also, ‘Love is an Open Door’ and ‘For the First time in Forever’ have a nice tune and lyrics.

This movie is highly recommended to all from my side. Because you are never too old for a Disney movie.

My rating for this snowy movie is:

Official Music Video: The Monster-Eminem ft Rihanna

Official Music Video: The Monster-Eminem ft Rihanna

Eminem and Rihanna get into the roleplaying spirit -- he as a patient, she as his therapist -- while the rapper revisits some of his past videos in the new music video for "The Monster," dropped tonight (Dec. 16) before ESPN's "Monday Night Football."

In "The Monster," the current No. 1 single on the Hot 100, the Detroit native revisits relics of his past, including references to "8 Mile," "The Way I Am," his GRAMMY performance with Elton John and more.

All the while, Rihanna is his watchful, stone-faced shrink, though she breaks out of her shell on the chorus, performing while donning tight black garb in some sort of warehouse.

Eventually, the rapper meets up with a bastardized version of his own self, shielded by gun-wielding guards and some sort of tiny, metal, cage-like prison.

The video also references his past issues with addiction and shows images of ex-wife Kim and daughter Hailie, among other images of his life.

"The Monster" is, so far, the best-performing single from Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," and is sure to get a boost from views of the new video on this week's Hot 100, perhaps securing a second week atop the chart.

Movie Review: HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: Part II

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: Part II

"It all ends now. Neither can live while the other survives."

Cast:

Directed by David Yates

Produced by David Heyman , David Barron , J. K. Rowling

Screenplay by Steve Kloves

Based on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling

Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter
Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley
Emma Watson as Hermione Granger

Rest Of Cast

Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort
Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange
Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid
Warwick Davis as Filius Flitwick
Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy
Michael Gambon as Albus Dumbledore
John Hurt as Ollivander
Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy
Gary Oldman as Sirius Black
Alan Rickman as Severus Snape
Maggie Smith as Minerva McGonagall
David Thewlis as Remus Lupin
Julie Walters as Molly Weasley
Bonnie Wright as Ginny Weasley

Plot:

After seven earlier films reaching back a decade, the Harry Potter saga comes to a solid and satisfying conclusion in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2." The finale conjures up enough awe and solemnity to serve as an appropriate finale and a dramatic contrast to the lighthearted (relative) innocence of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" all those magical years ago.
Harry, Hermione and Ron are grown up now, and Harry has even grown the facial stubble required of all epic  heroes. The time has come for him to face Lord Voldemort  in their final showdown, and their conflict is staged in a series of special effects sequences containing  power and conviction. I am still not sure what the bolts discharged by magic wands actually consist of, but never mind.
They look wicked and lethal.  This final film is a reunion of sorts for a great many characters we've come to know over the years. So many distinguished British actors have played roles in the Potter films that make a recurrence in this movie; Bellatrix Lestrange, Rubeus Hagrid, Professor Dumbledore, Ollivander, Lucius Malfoy, Sirius Black, Severus Snape, Remus Lupin and even Prof. Minerva McGonagall, who is called upon to summon her powers and shield Hogwarts School from the powers of Voldemort.

Summary:

Hogwarts is home. And Harry returns to Hogwarts to seek the last Horcrux that contains Voldemort’s fragment of soul and destroy it. Turns out, Voldy is planning to attack the school if Harry doesn’t surrender himself. So, our sweet sweet professor Mc Gonagall  and other teachers lay out a whole sequence of magical security to help Harry buy some time until his job is done. The Weasleys, Lupin, Tonks all help the others in this war. And it is thought that Snape is Voldemort’s puppet! *Huge Spoiler Alert* WE LOVE YOU SNAPE!!! *sob*. Everyone is in their full essence in this movie. Those little actors fighting over the “Wingardium Leviosa” spell in the first movie are finally together. Neville is a true hero. Voldemort  gives us all the more reason to crack jokes about noses. And Harry, well he’s the chosen one. You have to see this EPIC FINALE for yourself to believe. And when you see it, everytime all those moments  from  the last 7 movies flash before your eyes.

Review:

How can I review this perfect film from a perfect franchise with perfect actors? Hmm, only one word:
MAGNIFICENT!

I love every moment of this film like a true Potterhead. This movie is true to the last book, just how I imagined it. And those moments with our beloved characters dying *sigh*, so heart wrenching. Even when Hogwarts was being destroyed in that cruel war between the death eaters and the ‘Harry Potter Army’ my heart ached for that building. Each stone turned to rubble made me wanna jump. I think it’s time I pay a visit to Warner Bros Studio in London.  Someone please take me there!  These kids we saw growing up as we grew up ourselves, they’ll always be our friends! Always! Another word that Potterheads  will understand for sure. So take some popcorn, chocolates and a tissue box and watch it from start till end (I love the ending scene just the same way it was in the book) .
Dare not miss this opportunity to bid farewell to your decade-old hero Harry, with a tear and a smile.

This movie is the BEST FINALE EVERRR so my rating for this movie is:

Fiona Shaw as Petunia Dursley
Richard Griffiths as Vernon Dursley
Timothy Spall as Peter Pettigrew
Imelda Staunton as Dolores Umbridge

Bonnie Wright as Ginny Weasley

Plot:

Voldemort's power is growing stronger. He now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide to finish Dumbledore's work and find the rest of the Horcruxes to defeat the Dark Lord. But little hope remains for the Trio, and the rest of the Wizard World, so everything they do must go as planned.

Summary:

The film begins with an entertaining "conference of evil" chaired by the nasally-challenged Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes), discussing how and where to snatch our hero, in which Voldemort's scornful gaze alights on the uneasy Lucius Malfoy (Jason Isaacs), depriving him of his wand, later Hermione (Emma Watson) damages Harry's and he crossly asks to use hers. Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe – once as moon-faced and round as his specs, now rangy and wiry – must make what amounts to an escape across open country, accompanied by Hermione and Ron (Rupert Grint). Watson's Hermione is still very girlish and solemn, but Grint's Ron now looks adult, slightly grizzled and bulky. Grint's very grownup air of resignation to his second-in-command status is interesting. It is a long way from the silly face he was always having to pull in the first film.

Almost devoid of allies and weapons, the trio now have to destroy the Horcruxes, which enforce Voldemort's terrible power, and they must uncover the secret of the Deathly Hallows, a term the audience must wait until the end of the film to understand. Looking up "hallow" as a noun in the dictionary won't help. And when these three are on their own is that this film comes to life: especially in the eerie Forest of Dean or a gloomy Shaftesbury Avenue cafe in central London where they have a magic-wand shootout with two assassins.
The most striking moment comes when Ron is tormented by a paranoid, jealous fantasy of Hermione's passionate desire for Harry. It is quite a gamey scene. Something human and real is happening there, a sense of coming to the dramatic point, at last. Does Ron suspect in his heart that Hermione would prefer to play something other than Quidditch?

Review:

This movie though not my favorite, is still a good Harry Potter adaptation. It follows the book closely. We now know more about Horcruxes and Dumbledore’s past and see the evil and gothic side to the Harry Potter saga for the first time. It’s not a back to school film. Hell, I miss Hogwarts and those utterly amazing uniforms. But still to continue and reach the epic finale this movie is essential, you can not miss this. New terms and new characters are introduced.

That moment when Hermione “Obliviates” her parents, ahh that girl is magic! Emma Watson deserves high praise for her role. And we discover a force binding Harry and Voldemort together. This movie is basically about answers. A logical explanation to so many HP related things. Also I personally loved that scene with seven Harrys! Ha there are fun moments in even the darkest of Harry Potter movies. Voldemort and his puppets were being very nosy in this movie. (Pun intended). So Enjoy the HP ride cuz that’s what we fans do!

My Overall Rating For One Half Of This Epic Final Is

Movie Review:Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawn Part II

Movie Review:Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawn Part II

Forever is just the beginning..
Every breath, every hour has come to this.

Cast:

Directed by Bill Condon
Based on Novel   Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer

Kristen Stewart as Bella Cullen (Bella Swan)
Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen

Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black

Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee Cullen
Peter Facinelli as Carlisle Cullen
Elizabeth Reaser as Esme Cullen
Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen
Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullen
Nikki Reed as Rosalie Hale
Jackson Rathbone as Jasper Hale
Maggie Grace as Irina
Michael Sheen as Aro
Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius
Dakota Fanning as Jane
Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus
Billy Burke as Charlie Swan

Plot Summary:

Bella has finally become a vampire. Baby Renesmee successfully killed her during birth (thanks, Renesmee!), breaking her spine and enabling Edward to inject her with his venom..ah nice situation of “Bite Me!”. Kristen Stewart, no longer playing a passive, depressed schoolgirl, is allowed to be funny. Now that she isn’t faced with choosing between the two hottest guys in school and pesky issues of mortality, Bella is a lot more fun to watch. The same can be said for Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Everything feels so much lighter this time around. In contrast to previous installments, in which the story was prone to angst-related slackness  and clumsiness, this film’s only real pacing problem is the Cullen family’s rather lengthy period of domestic bliss.
The story picks up again when the Volturi -- a sort of vampire monarchy -- hear news of Renesmee’s existence. Under the mistaken impression that the girl is an immortal child (that is, a child who was bitten and turned into a vampire too young to be able to control its killing urges, and thus threatens to expose the existence of bloodsuckers to humans), the Volturi plan to slaughter the entire Cullen clan for breaking the law and doing the forbidden. When Alice (Ashley Greene) gets wind of this via a psychic vision, the Cullens decide to assemble an army of vampires that can hold back the Volturi long enough to explain that Renesmee is a human/vampire hybrid and does not pose the same danger.

As it turns out, there are pro-Cullen, non-“vegetarian,” vampires around the world, each with their ownunabashedly cliched sense of style. So many creepy vampires take refuge under the same roof, with only wolf, Jacob(Taylor Lautner) in the house, creepy! Oh another thing! Jacob imprints on Renesmee or Nessie. Means they’re soulmates now! Nice wolfy rules Jake. Marrying your first love’s daughter is sure as hell gonna be fun and AWKWARDDD! Specially the moments between Edward and Jake . Somehow, it works and adds to the fun of the film.
Although the film follows the novel relatively faithfully, the finale deviates from the original story in a truly outrageous way that needs to be seen to be believed and will undoubtedly have its naysayers. Yet it remains true to the books by being entertaining in spite of itself. Condon, the cast, and the crew of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 have made something they can be proud of.

Review:

“Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2” has perfected the end and will have fans falling in love all over again. There was enough drama to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. The dramatic fight sequence was a show stopper with remarkable special effects. Pattison and Stewart had their fiery chemistry and the young Renesmee portrayed by Mackenzie Foy was impressive. This young beauty was a great addition. Also totally I totally fell in love with the part two of Christina Perri’s “Thousand Years”.Twilight soundtrack has always been a treat. But that thing they did before the credits showing each and every cast member of Twilight franchise on this song was just EPIC! Loved it completely. Also  that little twist with Marcus and Alice’s vision, ha ha fun!!

“Breaking Dawn Part 2” offers readers and moviegoers the ending they hoped for. Only problem is most will be asking for more and wishing it was not the final chapter.

I will rate this Movie : ***1/2

Movie Review: A Walk to Remember

A Walk to Remember

Cast :

Shane West as Landon Rollins Carter
Mandy Moore as Jamie Elizabeth Sullivan-Carter
Peter Coyote as Reverend Hegbert Sullivan
Daryl Hannah as Cynthia Carter
Lauren German as Belinda
Clayne Crawford as Dean
Al Thompson as Eric
Paz De La Huerta as Tracy
David Lee Smith as Dr. Carter
Jonathan Parks Jordan as Walker
Matt Lutz as Clay Gephardt

Plot:

“You have to promise you won't fall in love with me.”

One of the most touching romantic movie ever, ‘A walk to remember’ is a tale of teenage love and promises which makes you believe that miracles do happen. It released and spreaded love in year 2002.
Adaptation of Nicholas Spark’s out of this world novel this movie conveys a story of young and popular Landon Carter who never thought of falling in love with an introvert and Reverend Sullivan’s daughter Jamie Sullivan. After playing a dangerous prank on his classmate, Landon is forced to spend time in various after-school activities, such as tutoring disadvantaged children and performing in the drama club's spring musical.
For the first time in her life Jamie approaches Landon and asks for his help for charity work while they are acting together in a school play.

Landon being the most popular boy in the bunch tries to avoid her company and makes fun of her by adding sarcastic comments. In answer to that Jamie refuses to help her with script and somehow he manages to learn it on his own.

During the play, Jamie astounds Landon and the entire audience with her beauty and voice. Landon kisses Jamie during the play, which was not in the script, and Landon tries to get close to Jamie, but she repeatedly rejects him. Soon thereafter, however, Landon's friends publicly humiliate Jamie by altering a photograph of her and placing her head on the body of a scantily clad woman. Landon angrily confronts his former friend, punching him and publicly siding with Jamie. Afterwards, Landon and Jamie begin a relationship in which Landon dedicates most of his time to her. He discovers that she has a wish list, and sets out to make all her ambitions come true, such as taking her to a state border so that she can stand on either side of the line and, thus, be in two places at once.

She warns Landon not to fall in love with her and finally tells him about her serious medical condition that she is suffering from terminal Leukemia and has no hope.

Her disease gets worse by the time and she collapses in her father’s arm and is taken to hospital where Landon learns that his father is going to pay for her medical attention which will be given to her at her own home. He goes to his father and breaks down in tears and makes up with him after a very long time.
Jamie believes that Landon is an angel from Heaven sent down for her relief and thanks God in every condition. Landon however is sad and angry with God for taking away the only precious gift of his life, his Love. He goes on fulfilling Jamie’s wishlist.

In the end he asks Reverend Sullivan to marry his daughter and he agrees. They are married in the same chapel as Jamie’s parents where she makes a ‘walk to remember’ by walking down the aisle in a poor health but living the most precious moment of her short termed life.

After Jamie’s death Landon spends his life just like Jamie wanted to. In the end when he says that Jamie never got his miracle, Reverend Sullivan tells him that he is her miracle.

“she did get her miracle, Landon.
Her miracle was you.”

Review:

This is a kind of movie you can never express in a negative way. It won’t only leave you tearful but also longing to see more of this charming couple.Another best feature of this movie is its sound. Mandy Moore has captivated many souls by singing ‘Only Hope’ the way only a true believer can.Although it’s an old flick but the magic can never fade. It leaves you awestruck just Landon when he sees Jamie in school play costume blooming like a rose.
Last but never the least is the ‘Walk’. You can actually feel that burden of Jamie’s ill being on your heart as she takes step towards Landon and clutches your heart with a never ending feeling of true and unconditional love.

Just like me anyone who sees the movie will thank the person who recommended it.
But before you see it, prepare your hearts for a romance-full heart attack!!

“It was, I remembered thinking, the most difficult walk anyone ever had to make.
In every way, a walk to remember.”

Performance Ratings:

Mandy Moore (Jamie Sullivan) :

Kind, wonderful, beautiful and gentle. For once you believe the girl on your screen is the real Jamie Sullivan and she is actually going to die!
Hats-off!
As for the songs; Mandy sang magic.

****½

Shane West (Landon Carter) :

Shane West has done a commendable job with Landon’s character summoning the ‘bad-boy-falling-in-love’ attitude!

****

Now as for the Overall rating:

Book Review: Vampire Academy By Richelle Mead

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

Plot:

They suck at School!
Bloodlines are torched. Battle lines are drawn.
Prepare to be tested.

This story is about vampires! There are three kinds in this book;

A) Moroi: Mortal vampires who drink blood, eat food, age, reproduce and die. Also they are quite handy when it comes to magic.
B) Dhampir: Half-human and half-moroi; they have capabilities of both. Good reflexes, strong sight and hearing but no magic and blood drinking for them.
C) Strigoi: These are the bad guys! Undead, Immortal,burning-in-the-sun type blood-suckers.

Summary:

17 year old Rose Hathaway is a dhampir and has been on run with her Moroi best friend, Lissa Dragomir (who is the last member of a vamp-royal family) for the last two years. Finally they are caught by the Guardians of St.Vladmir Academy and are taken back. They start studying but so many dangerous events occur that suggest that Lissa’s life is in danger. Also a new Guardian, Dimitri Belikov is assigned to Lissa and also becomes  Rose’s mentor. Sparks ignite between Dimitri and Rose which leads to further problems. In the midst of all these chaos, will Rose be able to find the difference between friend and foe? What is their secret past that forced them to flee from the safety of their school in the first place. Who wants Lissa gone? These questions can be answered only after reading the book till the very last page.

Review:

A whole school full of vampires! WOW that’s creepy and interesting! In Vampire Academy, Rose is a reckless and carefree girl who loves her bestfriend Lissa. Lissa is a cautious, kind and polite girl who doesn’t like holding a grudge against anyone. This friendship makes the plot more interesting..and the fact that they are connected to each other via a psychic bond. Rose is my favorite character in this book, she knows how to have fun and get in trouble but when it comes to Lissa, she has a really responsible and caring nature. Another thing that was quite interesting is Dimitri and Rose’s relationship. One word for it! WOW! I never thought I’d ever like a Russian guy but this one is so so good. He doesn’t say much but says everything through his silence. And the way he says ‘Roza’..Ahh, loved him! And teacher-student love story is quite an intriguing angle .
This book is so good, in fact this whole series is so good that I want to write each and everything. But what’s the fun in that? Real fun is in the mystery that this book offers. Read for yourself if you’re into vampires (not necessarily twilight, any kind will do).
It’s being made into a movie too, coming in 2014, but I won’t discuss it here, the cast is deeply flawed so not much is expected from the movie. However, I assure you that book is great!
